The Legion strongly condemns those who jumped on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and disrespected the National War Memorial on Saturday.

The site commemorates those who fought and fell for the very freedoms that allow the right to protest peacefully and respectfully.

Ottawa Police have confirmed cars parked on the grounds of the national Cenotaph have been removed. Parking on this sacred ground that includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was a sign of complete disrespect.

I am sickened to see protesters dance on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and desecrate the National War Memorial. Generations of Canadians have fought and died for our rights, including free speech, but not this. Those involved should hang their heads in shame.

#mus2011 identity has shifted from the way we listen to what we listen to.

#mus2011the Cell phones, music on our phones is not allotted for a specific gender like the Phonograph came to be. The portability of music has diminished gender specific ways of listening to music. Ideas of gender are found in the content that we listen too instead.

this non-passive reaction to music is a way that we have adapted over time. The availability of music has decreased the amount of people making their own music which seem like an increase of passivity. We have changed the way we react to music(ie.singing along) #MUS2011

I believe that there are many false needs that relate to the Idea of success in the music industry(beauty,money etc.) the media recognized that in our society now having an interesting story about something that is "taboo" is eye catching (or in this case ear catching) #mus2011

passivity can come from desensitization of these "taboos but when something sensational hits mainstream It can become inspiring to some and for them there reaction is hardly passive #mus2011
