Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Christian, Stone, and Taney counties. The main concerns are flooding, 60+ mph winds, and quarter-sized hail.

PLANE CRASH: MSHP is reporting three people on board we’re injured when a small plane crashed in a wooded area in Osage Beach.

KOLR 10 crews are on the way to the scene. We’ll update you at 5 & 6.

At 12:13 p.m. Osage Beach PD advised they had received a report of a possible downed aircraft that had just taken off from Lee C. Fine airport. The aircraft has been located in the treeline at the old golf course between Rt KK and US 54.

Please avoid the area.

The plane had three occupants, all sustaining serious injuries.

The FAA has been notified and will be conducting the crash investigation. The Osage Beach Police Department will handle the crash scene and should be contacted for all media inquiries.

BREAKING: MSHP has been called to investigate a man’s body found in a barn in rural Polk County tonight. The sheriff requested assistance from the Division of Drug and Crime Control after the body was found in a barn.

BARRY COUNTY INMATE ESCAPE: Authorities are still searching for Mario Che-Tiul, one of seven inmates who escaped from the Barry County jail in Cassville last night. The other six were either caught or turned themselves in.

VERDICT: Edward Gutting, the Missouri State University professor who killed his colleague Marc Cooper in 2016, has been found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

He will be committed to the Department of Mental Health for indeterminate amount of time.

NEW INFO: The brother of Dr. John Forsyth tells KOLR 10 authorities believe his death was a homicide. His body was found on the bank of Beaver Lake after he had been missing for nine days.

Fox News is reporting Dr. John Forsyth had been kidnapped and released in early 2022. "Many times he mentioned he might be in danger," his brother revealed.

NEW: A kayaker found the body of Dr. John Forsyth on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Benton County Arkansas Sheriff’s Office. It appears he died from a gunshot wound.
