@CP24 Ethically and morally speaking, it should be a gauntlet of hate. Anything less would be shameful for Canada as a nation.
It would not be acceptable to have a "March for Naziism" in Canada, so it should be equally unacceptable to have a "March for Israel" in our society.
@MarkJCarney The simplest way to lower the temperature would be a statement by the Carney govt along with representatives of the Canadian Jewish community strongly condemning Israel, but I don't think any of us sees this govt changing their tune - which means the temperature will keep rising.
@MarkJCarney Things will continue to get worse and worse until this government condemns Israel and their ongoing genocides.
Strongly differentiating Canadian Jews from Israelis is paramount to de-escalate resentment. Canadians need to know that our country does not support genocide.
@RickyTheGuido USA bragged for decades to the rest of the world about 2nd amendment rights and freedom and democracy only to be shown as the most docile slaves of autocratic rule in the history of the world.
@HFTVSports@TheFourthPeriod Probably a small overpay by Habs, but would Knies have made the difference in the playoffs would be the question people should be asking
@GrokReveals@globepolitics He doesn't have that much in Brookfield. It's publicly disclosed. I've looked it up myself.
But his deal with Jared Kushner to buy 666 Fifth Avenue while he worked with Brookfield worries me a lot.
I'm worried he's made deals with Israel. That's what I'm worried about.
@13Leafs01 It's a good package. But I think Chicago can offer more. Just the #4 pick by itself is worth the bulk of that whole package, so #4 would be the starting point for Toronto. Get creative. I'd say #4, Kantserov, and Rinzell for Carlo and Knies... done deal in my opinion.
@HabsOnReddit Not sure who would have won this trade, but I feel like I'm the only Leafs fan that thinks other Leafs fans are delusional about Knies' value.
They act like he's Mcdavid, it's so frustrating when Chicago is offering a king's ransom for him. Take the deal!!!
@GearshiftMike I get Leafs fans don't want to trade Knies, but he's never going to have more value in the trade market than he has right now. I think it'd be smart to sell high myself, if you get an overpay offer.
@GearshiftMike They might not trade Frondell for Knies straight up, but I know there's a package with Chicago that could be made. They have too many prospects to dismiss an offer. #4, Kansterov, Rinzell, and a good prospect or pick for Knies and Carlo is what I'd pitch if I were the Leafs.
@RavensReplier@Leafslatest@TheFourthPeriod I have more hockey experience in my little finger than you've had in your entire life. I know the game inside and out from playing it, not watching it. I'm allowed to talk about what I know.
@Mosboss27@Leafslatest@TheFourthPeriod There's a good possibility that they'd have traded Mathews and Nylander at next year's trade deadline if they weren't in a playoff spot.
Winning the draft lottery changed that, but nobody thought that would happen.
