@jdtdobson It turns out, I enjoy making slideshows for my teaching. It's relaxing, like putting together a jigsaw but with a purpose. Currently working on creating them to "frame up" ELA block to align with @BainStaci Tier 1 Framework.
If teachers don't have time to prepare for full implementation, then reading curricula are just mannequins in the educational shopping mall.
People gawk at and admire them, calling them 'High-Quality Materials', but they were never designed with you in mind... just your money.

It’s always an honor to work alongside elite practitioners as they teach with pedagogy and pizzazz. Thank you, Mississippi experts. #MSReads@kymyona_burk led the way.
Mississippi continues the #SoR work, daily, in schools and districts. Thx for starting the movement @kymyona_burk. Your legacy continues and Educate is honored to do whatever possible to keep increasing #results. MS leads, MS reads. @RankinSchools
Superintendent Michael Farmer (@farmer1701) is an example of how to lead for empirically-based Tier 1 instruction. Research evidence matters, but without solid leadership — it makes no difference. #SUPERintendent
@BobFergusonAG I believe you can transform literacy support for teachers and leaders in WA’s schools. Ask @ospi about explicit instruction being comparable to “tuna casserole”. This misinformation is harmful to kids’ reading success. #IDA#anitaarcher@janhasbrouck@ddwa12
Tier 1…a healthy school system ensures it is the first and best instruction. All students are general education students first, and Educate is honored to work with districts to advance our collective first, best teaching. Thanks for sharing, Kristen Koeller @reading_league!
An empirical-evidence (SoR) researcher who has touched hundreds of thousands of lives, mine included. Thank you @PamelaSnow2. You’re a good human. See you next year at The Reading League conference in NC with TRL NC team, @lindaschultzie.
