As the Iranian regime executes PMOI Member Mehdi Khanaki and crackdown on political prisoners intensifies, here is his powerful message from prison.

"For 45 years, this land has seen nothing but suffering and agony. Joy had departed, and mourning and grief have taken its place. Since the day the deceitful Khomeini set his ill-omened foot in this homeland, this land has seen nothing but the shedding of innocent blood.
From the massacre of the people of Kurdistan to the dark and horrific decade of the 1980s, to this day, where the regime is surrounded by a series of uprisings of the Iranian people. Massacres, tortures, rape, blinding, and more are the deeds of this wild and bloodthirsty gang.
In legends, we read that Zahhak killed youths, or Pharaoh killed newborns to eliminate Moses. Today, we see these historical and mythical tales mirrored in this demonic regime.
The bastard Khamenei, to preserve his devilish rule, kills the daughters of this land under the pretext of a strand of hair, because he knows very well that he will be destroyed by the hands of these very women and girls, and Iran will be liberated by these lionesses.
No matter how dishonorable, cowardly, and vile the enemy is, Iranian women are brave, strong, steadfast, and virtuous.
Thinking for even a second about the atrocities of this filthy, devilish regime makes one's hair turn white instantly, bends a straight back all at once, and ages a youth in an instant.
From the tortures, rapes, and executions of the 1980s to the present day, from the oppression inflicted upon our resisting prisoners.
How many of my (pregnant) sisters in the 1980s were executed and shot alongside their unborn children. How many of my sisters lost their fetus under the brutal torture of these demons.
How many brothers, whose children were only infants, went to the execution yards, firing squads, and battles, and today, their courageous children continue their path with strength and resolve.
How many children were forced to grow up far from their parents, hearing the news of their parents' martyrdom and loss during their childhood and adolescence.
These oppressions are only a small part of what I have hears, and God knows how much more I do not know, and how much more of it has never been spoken of at all.
God is my witness that today, I have no hope or desire other than to tear down the walls of Ghezel Hesar as soon as possible, and to destroy forever all the prisons built by the accursed Shah and inherited by his successor, Khomeini, so that no human being will ever be imprisoned in them again.
And with each day this is delayed, I feel ashamed and sorrowful.
Even a fraction of these oppressions would pain the conscience of any human being, and it is enough for me to resolve never to back down from fighting dictatorship until the last moment of my life.
Therefore, I pledge and swear by the blood of the martyrs, and the suffering of our prisoners. I swear by every singly moment of grief and tears shed by children over the loss of their martyred mothers and fathers, to always remain steadfast and a fighter on this path, to live as a PMOI member and to dies as a PMOI member and to fight with all my being by the side of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi."

Vahid is remembered by his family as devoted to helping others. Even in his final days, he encouraged fellow prisoners to stay strong & reminded his loved ones not to let fear overcome them.

His courage is a reminder that dignity cannot be taken away,even in the darkest moments.

Iran ramps up executions under shadow of war

Vahid Baniamerian's family only found out he was going to be executed when Iranian state media reports flashed on their phones, saying the supreme court would review his death sentence.

Vahid’s relative tells AFP, "They did not bow."

'Do not cry'

Last year, Iran put to death over 2,150 people, according to Amnesty International, making it again by a wide margin the world's most prolific executioner after China.

Baniamerian was from childhood "a kind and humble person", his relative said.
"He had a sense of responsibility. He always wanted to help," they added.
"Even in his darkest moments, he chose to encourage others instead of giving in to fear," the relative said.

In his last days in prison he tried to keep up the spirits of his fellow inmates and managed to have smuggled out an audio message to his mother.
"I said goodbye to you and did not know what lay ahead," he said referring to their final meeting.

A video also smuggled out of prison showed him singing a patriotic song in the prison yard ahead of execution.

"The day they took them to solitary, Vahid told them 'do not cry in front of the enemy. We are proud of what we are doing'," his relative said.

"They did not bow."

یوسف هیبدی در سال ۱۳۳۱ در اهواز به دنیا آمد و به‌دلیل فقر، ترک تحصیل کرد.
به‌عنوان کارگر مکانیک کار می‌کرد و در انقلاب ضدسلطنتی فعال بود.
پس از انقلاب، به سازمان مجاهدین خلق پیوست و در مسجدسلیمان فعالیت داشت.
در جریان قیام ۳۰ خرداد ۱۳۶۰، مبارزاتش شدت گرفت و بارها با نیروهای رژیم درگیر شد.
پس از شناسایی، در مسجدسلیمان بازداشت و به زندان منتقل شد.
رژیم با پخش خبر دروغ شهادت او، خانواده‌اش را از پیگیری بازداشتش بازداشت.
یوسف تحت شکنجه‌های شدید قرار گرفت و در قتل‌عام ۱۳۶۷ اعدام شد.
پیکرش به‌طور دسته‌جمعی در گورستان خاوران دفن شد.
یک شاهد در خاوران، عکس نیمه‌دفن‌شده یوسف را گرفت. این عکس بعدها توسط خانواده‌اش شناسایی و جنایت افشا شد.
