Lagos State University proudly celebrates one of its brightest alumnae, Aminat Yusuf, who has emerged as the 2026 Rhodes Scholar for West Africa, securing one of the world’s most prestigious academic honours. This achievement not only highlights Aminat’s brilliance but also reaffirms LASU’s reputation as a cradle of excellence and a breeding ground for global talent.

Aminat, a distinguished legal scholar and practitioner, graduated from LASU’s Faculty of Law as the first-ever graduate with a perfect 5.0 GPA at the University’s 26th Convocation Ceremony, a historic feat that placed her in the national spotlight. She currently serves as an Associate at the renowned law firm Olaniwun Ajayi LP, gaining valuable experience in dispute resolution and project finance.

Her journey to becoming a Rhodes Scholar was no small feat: the rigorous five-stage selection process saw her finish first in the final stage, a testament to her discipline, intellect, and strong sense of purpose. As a Rhodes Scholar, Aminat has been awarded a fully funded two-year scholarship, covering tuition and living expenses, to pursue her chosen course at the University of Oxford starting September 2026.

Established in 1903, the Rhodes Scholarship is the world’s oldest and most prestigious international postgraduate scholarship programme. It recognises young leaders of exceptional intellect, character, and commitment to service, offering them a transformative platform to contribute meaningfully to global development.

In her congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, expressed deep pride in Aminat’s accomplishment, describing it as both a personal victory and a collective triumph for LASU, Lagos State, Nigeria, and the entire West African region. She noted that Aminat’s feat has once again placed LASU in the global spotlight, embodying the true “LASU Spirit” of excellence.

The second design with the veggies image was a quick one to meet the deadline but the goal was to make it eye-catching.

3 months ago, I joined .@NetworkNoya campaign on Kaito Earn- we were asked to deposit, bond, refer, and yap.

I deposited $500 in the Morpho vault to farm points and bonded another $800 in the MorphoUSD vault for 6 months funds I couldn’t even touch.

Yesterday around 7 AM, my wallet got compromised. I didn’t click any link or sign anything. I even used https://t.co/qIG7KiT1Iu often, keeping only Noya, Ethos, and Turtle connected.

The hacker somehow drained my bonded $800 (still can’t explain how), withdrew the $500 from my deposit vault, and took the $120 I had in my Turtle vault for the liquidity leaderboard.

Lost over $1,400 in total. No idea how it happened but I’ll find the strength to start over again, from scratch.

Now I’m patiently waiting for @Zun2025 announcement on the 14th so I can possible claim upcoming drops before the hacker gets it.
