The end of Day 2 on the @noelbakerlead Silver @DofE Expedition. Tired and hot, but spirits are still high. We're so impressed with their positive attitude, planning and cooking skills!

Day 2 going well on our Silver @DofECentral expedition with @noelbakerlead. A great morning and lunch stop. Water replenished and suncream reapplied & they're off again. Also, amazing that both groups picked the same lunch location from different directions -very helpful!

Suncream, sunhats & lots of water were the top priority for Day 1 of @noelbakerlead Silver @DofE expedition. Our teams ventured into the Peak District and were warmly greeted at #BarnFarmCamping. A brilliant effort in some rather warm conditions. Onwards to Day 2!

After 2 very cold nights and 2 very muddy days our @noelbakerlead students have finally completed their @DofE Silver practice. A brilliant effort from everyone with lots of lessons learned. This is why we practice! Well done everyone!

The @DofE season gets underway with our @noelbakerlead Silver practice! Tents are up and dinner has been consumed. Thanks to Sophie's mum who's sent enough delicious chocolate brownies for pudding for everyone - including the staff!

A fantastic culmination of months of dedication and commitment. A great evening of entertainment: acting, singing & dancing, + lighting, music, & backstage. So many @DofE Skills; so much pride in the achievement of our students. Thank you to all the staff who made this happen.

After a great start, 'Miss Riley' has had a traumatic 24 hours. First she lost her hair, then her eyelashes, finally...splat! 😢

Morning! Breakfast eaten, tents down, kits packed and they're off again! Possibility a bit less enthusiastically than yesterday but this is the point of @DofE: resilience and character building! @noelbakerlead

They may have struggled to get out of the car park to start with, but the Pink Team soon got into their stride. With their egg mascots mostly safe, they had a great Day 1. They even made delicious hot chocolate - with marshmallows - in the evening! @noelbakerlead

Spirits have been high all day with the Purple Team. They may have been rather tired by the end Day 1 but they kept plodding along.

The Blue Team have had a busy day checking their navigation. They did seem to insist on trying out all of the footpaths in the area before finding the one they needed! @noelbakerlead

The Green Team have had a good Day 1. Finally at the campsite and their burgers for tea went down a storm!

Every @DofE team has an Aim - it's important to focus on something as a team while adventuring. The Pink Team have decided to look after a boiled egg each (named after members of staff). I wonder if anyone can spot Mr Green our newest member of the DofE staff? @noelbakerlead

The Bronze DofE Expedition 2023 is under way! Kit pack all sorted and we're off!

The conditions are certainly challenging, but our groups are determined. As our school poem says, "My head is bloody*, but unbowed".

*no students are injured, just rather soggy!
