Weโve made the difficult decision to wind down BakerFi.
Over the past months, weโve explored every possible path forward. Unfortunately, the financial and regulatory conditions required to keep BakerFi operating are no longer feasible for us.
You open 4 tabs every morning to check crypto prices for your favourite crypto currency.

Another tab.
Thereโs a better way.

I just published a new my reflection after the @EthCC week exploring a provocative idea:
Blockchain infrastructure might not be broken for humans. It might be perfectly built for AI agents.
Think about it: ๐ค
โ Permissionless access, no KYC gatekeepers
โ Programmable money via smart contracts
โ Atomic, deterministic transactions
โ 24/7 operation, no holidays
โ Cross-protocol composability
These aren't consumer banking features. They're API specs for autonomous economic agents.
The real question isn't "How do we get billions of humans onto blockchain?"
It's "How do we get billions of agents onto blockchain, working on behalf of those humans?"
Just like you don't manually resolve DNS queries to browse the web, you shouldn't need to parse hexadecimal calldata to earn yield. AI agents can handle that complexity while blockchain becomes invisible infrastructure.
I don't have all the answers. Nobody does yet. But I think we need to sit with this question and rethink our foundations.

Centralized exchanges arenโt neutral marketplaces.
Theyโre gatekeepers that can kill years of work in a fiveโminute decision.
We refused to pay KuCoin and Gate absurd โfeesโ just to rename our token from BEPRO to LX.
Result: deposits cut, markets crippled, and now both exchanges preparing to delist us entirely.
This is exactly why weโre moving fully toward DEXes, open protocols and permissionless systems.
If your project lives at the mercy of a support ticket, itโs not decentralized.
Big Broker is watching you.
Time to walk away and withdraw everything.

Most DeFi products never break 50k in TVL.
@LayerXlab helped @bakerfi_ to build one that crossed $๐ต๐ฐ๐ญ,๐ต๐ฑ๐ต ๐๐จ๐ , processed $๐ด.๐ฏ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐บ๐ฒ, and hit ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ without mercenary capital.
The truth is that most teams underestimate what it actually takes to ship a reliable, scalable onchain product. BakerFi took ๐ต ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต๐ from the first line of code to mainnet, and the only reason it worked is because we approached it like infrastructure, not โjust another DeFi app.โ
Hereโs the part almost nobody tells you.
The goal was to turn a mess of multi-protocol strategies (Aave, Lido, Uniswap and others) into a single ERC-4626 vault that anyone could use.
And the numbers proved the approach worked:
- ๐ฒ.๐ด% ๐๐ผ ๐ด.๐ฎ% ๐๐ฃ๐ฌ, consistently outperforming manual execution by ๐ญ๐ฑ-๐ฎ๐ฒ%
- $๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ธ+ ๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ through batching and optimization
- ๐ต๐ต.๐ต๐ฐ% platform uptime
The 30% rule. If you skip it, you lose.
Some might think thatโs overkill. It isnโt. Itโs the only way a system like this survives in the wild.
What that looked like:
โ Heavy fuzzing testing
โ 95%+ test coverage
โ Hybrid oracle system using Chainlink + @PythNetwork with deviation checks and continuous monitoring.
โ One professional private audit (Creed)
โ One public audit competition on Code4Arena
โ Zero critical findings at launch
BakerFi didnโt cut corners. Trying to fake safety is one of the worst decisions anyone can do in crypto.
This is the kind of detail that turns a good product into one people actually trust with real money. If you are interested in knowing more about BakerFi development journey check the use case that we have written to journal our deep collaboration with BakerFi ๐จโ๐ณteam .

5/ We are immensely grateful for everyone who supported BakerFi: the community, contributors, and partners who shared our journey. Your trust and enthusiasm made this possible, and we hope the ideas we built together continue to inspire future builders in DeFi. ๐ช
Thank you! ๐
Most DeFi users:
โ Stake manually
โ Forget to rebalance
โ Wake up to liquidation notifications
BakerFi users:
โ Choose a recipe
โ Bake yield daily
โ Sleep well
Stop farming stress, start baking returns.
