A few years ago, an NFL team stayed at the hotel where I work and me and my boss were like, “Why the hell are there Uncrustables everywhere?”
We both stopped on the way home and picked up a box and the next morning were like “Wow I get it.”
Fun, unknown, silly NFL stat: "Uncrustables" are the favorite snack at halftime of most teams and post-practice during the week. League-wide they eat at least 80,000 a year. @jaguars rank third with about 315 a week. Broncos are fist at over 700.
I helped out Andrew Lesnie once at a hotel while they were filming The Lovely Bones in Philly. Had no idea who he was. Really nice guy and we had a good chat. Tipped very well.
This story lives rent free in my head:
Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin once asked Lesnie [LotR cinematographer] 'where is the light coming from? ' when they were shooting in what should have been a darkened tower.
Lesnie replied, “Same place as the music.”
Cool Thing About Me: 99% of my time spent online is looking at baseball stats. Tonight I looked up Sandy Koufax’s final season in the MLB (1966)…
27 Wins(!), 27 Complete Games(!), 1.73 ERA(!), 317 Strikeouts and the most obvious Cy Young Award in MLB history.
