Yes, you are on spot here. Particularly when one looks at the map of individual voting districts, the rejection came mostly from traditionally left enclaves since generations and low taxes luxurious areas ("Golden Coast" at Zurich lake, Zug, mountain resorts) - breaking the usual voting blocks, for me a bit surprisingly.

PGMOL and PL have been facing scrutiny over the refereeing, particularly to the detriment of Arsenal, since decades.

Those same people created and staffed the KMI panel checking the correctness of PGMOL and PL decisions ... providing an official stamp that it is actually the other way round.
