First Multifrequency P, L, C, X-band #GBSAR measurements.
Developed between Balamis and @la_UPC in the frame of the industrial doctorate (@dindustrialscat & @CienciaGob) we are developing the first commercial prototype of a multifrequency #GBSAR#SAR.

Balamis completes the refurbishment of HUTRAD2.0 radiometer for the Arctic. @MOSAiCArctic expedition will use it to study the effect of #ClimateChange in the #seaice. Best Wishes to all #MOSAIC team!
Happy to see Balamis lightweight L-band radiometer for @BECICMRS in action under severe Arctic conditions working next to Prosensing Ka/Ku-band radars. #arcticresearch
The characteristics of the #SeaIce surface & its #snow cover can be quite variable. Every week Gunnar Spreen, Stefan Hendricks & Oguz Demir transfer two remote sensing sensors to a mobile sled to capture this spatial variability. @UniBremen@AWI_Media@OhioState

What time zone would you use near the Arctic pole? Here is the approach used at MOSAIC Expedition on-board Polarstern icebreaker.

Our ship time is UTC+8 (CET+7) as of today. We plan to set the clock 1 hour back every Saturday night from now on until we reach UTC+3. That will be Moscow time and the same time as our supply vessel Dranitsyn will be on.

The first private company to use L-band radiometer is now 15 years old. Congratulations Roland Haarbrink and @Miramap team for all the work you have done. You were really the pioneers! #microwave#remotesensing
News from @MOSAiCArctic
During transects also a smaller L-band radiometer system "ARIEL" from @ICMCSIC and build by @BalamisTech was used today for the first time.
