Many congratulations to my successor, Pam Cox, who in the early hours of this morning was elected as Colchester's new Member of Parliament. Her success is now our city's success, I wish her well and hope she enjoys representing our wonderful city of Colchester as much as I did.
This may not look like a des. res. but we hope the new nesting box installed at #Jumbo#Colchester today will please our Peregrine Falcons. Thanks to ecologists Zoe Smith & Peter Merchant & Punch Construction. See Insta @JumboHeritageColchester Thanks @HeritageFundM_E

@VisitColchester Would be great if someone would actually do something with it. Its been derelict for as long as I can remember, same as the old cinema. This town has great architecture but its being left to rot
The £18.2m investment will mean:
✅ More digital work and skills hubs
✅ Facilities for young people
Public realm improvements
✅ Transforming community facilities in Greenstead
✅ 5G rollout
✅ Restoring Holy Trinity Church
✅ A plan for Jumbo
✅ Walking and cycling links
