@JeanTheBookWorm@bsiceqstrin This clearly wasn’t an eye for an eye. Comments made publicly can be addressed publicly. A lawsuit would be a lot of money for the court to tell the girl she is in the wrong in the eyes of the law.
@JeanTheBookWorm@bsiceqstrin They did respond very similarly to your comment originally and the girl persisted to send incredibly rude messages. I agree ‘calling her out’ was wrong but the company originally handled this very well. Multiple people were sending messages, including death threats too so
@bsiceqstrin ...she shouldn’t have publicly put her on blast, but the girl was causing a scene long before Blackheart but anything on their story and would not relent.
@bsiceqstrin I would disagree and say that girl was quite rude about it. I would agree there was no need to call her out publicly, BUT the girl was commenting very rude comments on all her posts and sharing lots of things on her story slandering the company (later deleted)
@bsiceqstrin You can’t deny the girls original message was rude too...’have some respect’ and being so candid and callous about the owner’s body - very inappropriate. Personally I agree with the company; ensuring the fabrics and clothes are ethically sourced is paramount at this stage
@bsiceqstrin workers a fair wage and are made from recycled plastic bottles. I’ve met the owner twice, she’s absolutely lovely, and whilst her response was a little sharp, she too has been receiving death threats and very rude messages about her body. Hence the sharp response.
@anotherequestr1 Needless to say, two years later, one of them has been to several championships and regularly wins 110 classes with IMPECCABLE flatwork and manners, the other has been chucked in a field and branded ‘dangerous’ - it doesn’t take a genius to figure out which is which
@anotherequestr1 I knew two girls who both got OTTBs at the same time. One had two months off and a strict feed regime to build condition and was then re broken, the other was treated like any old school horse and went straight into being taken jumping and cross country within a week.
@squatsandspurs Ahhh totally get you! It’s like, you can be having the best day ever and then one tiny comment is made and you’re sobbing uncontrollably and feel like shit :/
@cantersets@Mares4Life Totally agree! I get very confused when vegans talk about cows being forcibly impregnated because that’s essential how all captive animals reproduce? It’s done artificially or a stud is bred with a female, the animal never gets to ‘consent’
@horse_whore I’m from the uk and idk what’s going on, do you mind explaining the situation to me bc half of USA horse twitter is devastated about this and the other half seem to hate this man’s guts 😬
