WATCH: Manitoba Premier @WabKinew is caught on camera making dog noises and mocking Manitoba Progressive Conservative Leader @obbykhan60 during Question Period as the Opposition pressed the government on its budget and spending estimates.
@_windows_98@WabKinew@glenesimard I agree. The @PC_Manitoba@MBPCcaucus believes in this wholeheartedly. MLA Schuler has introduced the legislation and all it would take is the NDP to pass it. Highly unlikely as it’s not their bill and instead of working together on good legislation, Manitoba will suffer again.
@ChiefManak Tough choice Chief. I know you would have excelled in the position but having been chief of police for 9 1/2 years, you have had more than enough time in politics. Enjoy whatever the next chapter brings Del.
@randerson137@MBPCcaucus@obbykhan60@InterlakePC I would if the rules allowed for it. In order for anyone other than the Speakers staff or an MLA (or former MLA) to be allowed on the floor of the chamber, it must be agreed to. The Government House Leader who is also the Minister responsible for accessibility denied the request
Happy International Week of Deaf People 🤟🧏♀️
PC Accessibility Critic Jodie Byram and MLA Wayne Balcaen (@Balcy2) joined the Manitoba Deaf Association and advocates on Tuesday to raise the Deaf flag in celebration of #IWDP and International Sign Languages Day!
@Rempel_Ong@MarkWasyliw As has happened year over year over year. This is not an NDP win it’s a continuation of a recruiting strategy!!!! Good try though as there is no plan!!!
@ConJonMac@MarkWasyliw Lots of ideas are pitched but Wab just waves them off. Advocating (not whining) brings attention to matters that need to be addressed. It was the NDP, led by Wab that promised to get tough on crime and the causes of crime. Neither has happened so Wab needs to be called out!!
@Rempel_Ong I would agree. A huge failing of Wab was not making any sanctions for something so damaging to his entire caucus. This is not just Nahanni wearing this it is the entire NDP. It keeps getting worse, it’s like she is doing this on purpose to keep it alive and garner more attention
For the last 2 years, the NDP could not care less about Spruce Woods or rural Manitoba.
Now — right before a by-election blackout — they’ve suddenly had 4 big announcements in the area.
Either he’s had an epiphany or the premier’s trying to buy some votes in Spruce Woods.

This underperforming Min has been a constant source of embarrassment
How does the community trust her to act on their behalf #mbpoli
@DeputyChow Great work @DeputyChow. It seems you can never do enough to satisfy those that want to see you fail. Your service’s vigorous work and team approach is making a difference. Keep up the great work for all of Vancouver.
Wab is showing his true colours when he seems offended that PCs are giving up a question to give independent MLA Mark Wasyliw a chance to ask questions. I guess he doesn’t like getting called out on his past statements.
Many congrats to the Reimer family on the passing of the Victims of Impaired Drivers Commemoration Day Act!
And thank you to Brandon West MLA Wayne Balcaen (@Balcy2) for bringing such an important bill forward.
May 1st of every year will now be dedicated to commemorate the lives of Manitobans lost to impaired driving.
Wayne brought this bill—with the support of Portage la Prairie MLA @JeffBereza and our entire PC Caucus—in remembrance of Jordyn Reimer, Kelly Verwey, and all those whose lives were taken by an impaired driver.
With that said, the fight against impaired driving is not over.
Last week, the NDP government (for the 2nd time) refused to support a PC resolution calling for an independent review into why no charges were laid against an alleged accomplice in Jordyn Reimer’s death.
Myself and our Progressive Conservative team urge the NDP to stop delaying Justice for Jordyn. #mbpoli
