For Eritrean Youth Rising their flag is more important than Rolling the ball to
win the football ball game. Issac is born in Europe and Fassil is born in United states they love each other
and rise their Eritrean flag🇪🇷at any occasion when they met each other.
Thank U both 🏆!
Nobody handed our independence on a silver platter, as many African countries experienced. We resurrected Eritrea through blood, sweat, and tears. More than 60,000 souls were sacrificed to reclaim what is ours, & more than 20,000 gave their lives to maintain our hard-won freedom.
Abiy Ahmed’s “Election” is a Political Crime
(OLF-OLA Press Release)
Abiy Ahmed insists on staging this farce he labels an "election"—even as the country is torn apart by civil war, as every major political party refuses to participate, as the institutional framework—including his handpicked election board—remains unchanged, with parliamentary seats already apportioned before any ballot is cast, and as the public has made unequivocally clear that a forced election is neither their will nor their priority. Moreover, no credible observer—domestic or international—will be present. Every sign on the wall has warned against this folly which Abiy Ahmed wilfully ignored.
Under these conditions, the so-called "election" he is pressing ahead is not merely a sham, it is a political crime. A crime committed against our people, paid for with their own meagre and dwindling resources.
The OLA will not sit idly by while Abiy Ahmed mocks our people, squanders our collective wealth, while our people's blood runs in the streets. Therefore, effective immediately, the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) declares a total ban on all transport and movement across Oromia until June 4. No vehicles or commercial traffic is allowed. No unauthorized travel of any kind. The sole exception shall be designated ambulances operating under explicit humanitarian protocols. Any breach of this ban will be met with immediate and decisive consequences.
We further advise all members of the diplomatic corps currently in the capital to suspend, without exception, any travel to or within Oromia for the duration of this week.

@CNNAfrica It is one of the greatest tragedies when leaders are willing to sacrifice their own people for wealth, power, and fame, a major challenge in parts of Africa.
I wish all Eritreans a proud Independence Month a tribute to the three-decade fight for freedom, earned through courage and sacrifice. May God bless Eritrea. Moving forward, we stand united in safeguarding our land, our waters, and the Red Sea from those who seek to harm. 🇸🇴 🇪🇷
As Eritrea’s Independence Day approaches, I want to remind people that the land of Habasha, or the Kingdom of Aksum, where the Prophet’s companions migrated and which holds an important place in Islamic history, is not modern landlocked Ethiopia, but Eritrea, where the first mosque in the Horn of Africa was built.
Historically, Ethiopia stood alongside European powers and colonial forces against Muslims in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. Today, Ethiopia is a Zionist state that cooperates with Zionist interests to destabilize countries in the region such as Somalia, Sudan, and Egypt, and it should be recognized as such.
#Eritrean-#Canadian residents of #Guelph raised the Eritrean flag at City Hall today with Mayor Cam Guthrie in celebration of the upcoming 35th Eritrean Independence Day anniversary.
The negligence & strategic Impulsiveness among so called “#DC elites” like @_hudsonc is Fretting. These elites & their rigid, Intractable, refractory geopolitical “perspectives” is— “THE SOLE REASON” why the world is having “THE MIDDLE EAST” on a burning brake. The obliviousness that #Eritrea is “Heaven's Gate” to the gulf of #Aden is pricey.

My visit to #Eritrea offered a meaningful moment of reflection on the layers of engagement that shape national progress, from observing developments in strategic towns like #Assab and the historic resilience of Nakfa, to witnessing community realities firsthand. Moving across these spaces underscored how policy, partnership, history, and lived experience intersect in tangible and often humbling ways...Such moments serve as a reminder that progress is not only measured in projects or plans, but in dialogue, perspective, and shared commitment to long-term national vision.
My visit concluded with a thoughtful exchange with H.E. President Isaias Afwerki, a conversation that reinforced the importance of continuity, strategic alignment, and sustained engagement on national priorities. Development and governance are best understood not from distance, but through direct engagement with people and institutions shaping the country’s path forward...
#Eritrea - No excuses!
Based on the Eritrean flag breakdown @SebleEphrem and I made back in 2017, I trained ChatGPT on what the flag actually is supposed to look like.
Now it finally generates the Eritrean flag correctly for me.
If you guys feed it that reference image first, along with the right prompt, it should get it right for you too.
Here is a prompt that can help you, just copy and paste and tell him to memorise:
Official Eritrean Flag
Create a high-quality, accurate depiction of the official national flag of Eritrea. The flag must follow the official design exactly, with correct geometry, proportions, emblem structure, and colors.
Flag structure
Use a rectangular flag with a 2:1 width-to-height ratio.
The flag contains:
a green upper triangle
a blue lower triangle
a red isosceles triangle extending from the hoist side to the fly side, with its apex centered on the right edge
The red triangle begins at the full hoist side and narrows to a point at the center of the fly side.
The green field fills the upper area above the red triangle.
The blue field fills the lower area below the red triangle.
Official colors
Use these exact colors:
Red: #E4002B
Green: #4DAA50
Blue: #418FDE
Yellow (emblem): #FFC72C
Emblem
Place the yellow olive branch and wreath emblem inside the red triangle near the hoist side, centered vertically.
The emblem must follow these rules:
The central branch has 6 leaves
Each of the 6 leaves is split into 3
The symbolism is:3 × 3 = 9 languages
3 × 3 = 9 ethnic groups
The outer wreath has 15 leaves on each side
The total 30 outer leaves represent the 30 years of struggle for independence
The emblem should be clean, balanced, symmetrical, and faithful to the official Eritrean design
Style
Render the flag as a realistic, dignified national flag, either:
flat and clean on a plain background, or
waving naturally in the wind with realistic fabric folds
Important requirements
Do not change the colors
Do not alter the emblem
Do not simplify or replace the wreath
Do not add extra symbols, stars, crests, or text
Do not distort the proportions
The result must look like the official Eritrean flag, not a stylized variation
