@NeKap Almost a decade on, I still think about what a great villain character Ghaul was. A badass with an axe to grind and a sense of style that would make most Guardians weep. And he made some valid points to boot.
Thank you for your incredible performance bringing him to life!
@zire9 I will favor practical effects over CGI as much as is FEASIBLE. But CGI used in concert with animatronic costumes/puppets can lead to some truly fantastic results - enhancing features or expressions and allowing for movements not really possible otherwise.
@pghgraffiti There is... actually a lot to decipher here, especially with the context of the upper billboard.
Reads like a panel ripped out of some dystopian graphic novel.
@zire9 I feel like more recently there's been a "back to the future" trend this way with film SFX.
CGI is a tool like anything else.
To make a good film, or even just a good SCENE you still need good DIRECTION to make it compelling.
It's why Jurassic Park (1993) still holds up today.
@Gothalion@FuNi_Spartan Would KILL to have a whole weapon system rework where instead of green and blue guns becoming irrelevant within the first hour could somehow be upgraded into higher tiers
Things like that would make "starting over" with chasing weapons more interesting imo
@HeyFitzy@Gothalion Absolutely even-keeled and reasonable take Fitzy.
Assuming it DOES happen, let's hope priority is given to making the underlying engine/systems more flexible for developing updates, because I always heard that was one of the biggest recurring challenges with D2.
@Gothalion Obviously take with a grain of salt but word on the vine was that Luke Smith & Co. DID pitch a brand new mainline Destiny universe game just before Final Shape and Sony shot it down.
Once I heard that my hopes for a new title mostly went down the toilet, but we can always HOPE.
@pr0fiteer@SidKhurana3607 Ok this was definitely the explanation that helped me understand the most.
I realized after posting that question that I honestly didn't know much of the history/evolution of Louisiana from the late 19th into first half of the 20th. 😅

@PaulTassi Here's a hypothetical I've yet to see if person pose to the community at-large:
What if they get a green light to do a new Destiny title, but it's set outside Sol and ties into like multiverse story with Marathon (or I guess some other older non-Halo Bungie IP)?
Gonna be real funny for Sony when, now after axing all future updates for Destiny 2, that Fortnitey Horizon abomination game crashes and burns out of the gate and they go 0-for-Everything on live-service games.
WHO is making these decisions over there?
