Sadly, this is the new norm. Leaving pts in recliner chairs exactly like this for days👇
Can you imagine your elderly parent, confused and in pain, in one of these in a busy ED for days?
Purchasing American food products with MAHA in control of their food regulations is like playing Russian roulette with your life. Not only should we not be buying anything American when possible because they’re attacking us, it’s also a question of our health.
This is the NEW NORM.
Waiting DAYS in a chair for transfer to another hospital WHEN A BED opens up.
We know this adds to MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY (makes them sicker and kills some seniors).
Smith's plan to privatize won't help your parents/grandparents when they are sick!

Danielle Smith and the UCP are experimenting with HC - fragmenting the system, neglecting workforce and capacity, and adding private care delivery and private pay options...
The data is very clear the experiment is a failure...
Remember when Danielle Smith said - repeatedly - that no Albertan would ever have to pay out of pocket for their health care?
Obviously she meant you would just have to put it on your credit card!
Of course they should be held accountable for how they spend healthcare funds from the feds. And if they are not actually using those funds for healthcare, then the federal government should take the healthcare file back to the federal government to manage.
🇨🇦David Eby on Alberta separatists seeking assistance from the U.S.: "To go to a foreign country and to ask for assistance in breaking up Canada, there's an old-fashioned word for that. And that word is treason."
Canada, understand these facts:
1) Doctors didn't build publicly funded healthcare. You did
2) Most of you can't afford private, profiteer healthcare
3) Doctors aren't going to fix this. We follow the money, just like you
4) Only the public can save publicly funded healthcare
Calgary: you aren't going to escape the UCP Mount Everest of ED overcrowding either.
EIP = admitted sick pt stranded in the ED = new emergency pts can't be seen = EMS can't drop off their pts to be available for new emergencies = delayed care for ALL

Hoping @MarkJCarney and the Federal Government enforce the Canada Health Act - the Alberta government should not be deleting preventive healthcare from the public healthcare system! Albertans deserve a good public healthcare system!
Remember when they said getting cancer was your own fault because you should get preventative test.
Well they just privatized that and you’ll have to pay for that now too
Dear @CanadianPM@MarkJCarney,
Are we planning on enforcing the Health Act at any point? People will die without access to cancer screenings - I have 2 family members who wouldn't be here today if they had delayed testing.
@HealthCoalition#cdnpoli#abpoli
Seems @ABDanielleSmith has totally lost the plot in her endeavours to make her friends rich. #abhealth#abpoli. Aren’t there checks and balances in place to avoid this kind of take over of our healthcare system? Serious question.
Prevention saves lives, reduces hospital costs and benefits all of us.
Yesterday, the UCP privatized Alberta’s preventative health services through regulations.
They are creating American style preventative services.
Your Alberta health card just lost some of its power.
AB cannot be allowed to break the Canada Health Act.
