How I see the top 10 just three days out:
1. LV: Mendoza
2. NYJ: Reese
3. ARI: Bailey
4. TEN: Love
5. NYG: Tyson
6. CLE: Fano
7. WAS: Styles
8. NO: Tate
9. KC: Bain
10. NYG: Downs
Ravens desperately need edge help and now have three options:
1) Hendrickson at above market deal (most likely)
2) hope cowboys trade for Crosby and then trade for Gary instead
3) piece mail it like past few years (please no)
Flacco has shown he didn’t need a training camp or much time to step in play for a new team.
I hope he remains unsigned and when a QB (for a good team) gets hurt, he signs with them
Veteran QB Joe Flacco, who will be a free agent Monday, wants an opportunity to at least compete for a starting job. But if he’s a backup, sources say, Flacco would strongly consider a return to Cincinnati, where he filled in for Joe Burrow last fall and made his first Pro Bowl.
My order of premiums in terms of building a contender:
1) Franchise QB
2) Elite Defensive Playcaller (no cap $)
-gap-
3) Talented Rookie deal QB
4) Elite Offensive Playcaller (no cap $)
5) Elite OT
6) very good non QB Rookie contract
-gap-
7)Elite Edge
8) Elite WR
9) Elite CB
#Falcons DE James Pearce Jr. was arrested Saturday in Florida on charges including two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and fleeing/eluding police.
Pearce was taken into custody after crashing his vehicle following a police chase.
Thinking about this hire more, makes perfect sense.
Every year there are one and done coaches (Pierce, Mayo, Hackett, Culley, Meyer, etc).
Browns will be much more attractive 2027, with two first rounders this year and an out on Watson next offseason.
Just one more tank.
Nabers such a tough click for me. We know it was ACL + meniscus and it sounds like recovery isn’t going smooth.
So injury risk + a good chance at drafting a WR top 5, it just feels like he’s priced at his ceiling.
Got my fav candidate as HC. Now the question becomes OC, which Minter has to nail.
I really don’t like Kliff, Nagy, and available OCs. Would rather go for an out of the box home run swing hire.
Davis Webb would be my pick.
Bills: kept/promoted Beane, fired McDermott
Ravens: kept EDC, fired Harbaugh
Chiefs: kept veach and Reid (expected)
Bengals: kept Tobin and Taylor (don’t have $$ to fire)
Really seems like the HC are the scapegoats and GMs didn’t receive enough blame
Once the cap hits for your franchise QB starts to increase you really have no margin for errors as a franchise to miss a draft.
Let alone 2-3 drafts for the Bengals, Bills, Chiefs and Ravens.
