To mark Friendship Week in Ballinode, students got to decorate the Friendship tree, take part in a poster competition and listen to some lovely songs performed by the school choir on Friday morning. Well done to Hazel, Mykola and Ashley, the winners of our poster competition!
TY students were busy on Friday participating in the Big Beach Clean in Strandhill, a nationwide event organised by Clean Coasts. This was a great opportunity for students to get involved in the community and the nice weather made it even more enjoyable! Well done to all.

On Monday 16th October our TYs participated in Restart a heart day. This involved CPR and Defibrillator training with the aim that the TYs will train other students throughout our school before the end of the year.
Our 1st year students had an enjoyable team bonding day in Strandhill. They had great fun learning how to surf and then had some lovely treats in Mama Johnstons afterwards. What a great start to the new chapter in Ballinode Community College
