Please cancel Wednesday so we can avoid accidents and anything else.

Tomorrow morning, wind gusts will reach 70mph, making visibility low and travel extremely dangerous. Close all BV schools tomorrow, March 5.

@bvschools Given the forecasted severe weather conditions including showers, storms, the possibility of snow, and potential tornado activity it is prudent to cancel school tomorrow to ensure the safety of students and staff.

@bvschools Unfortunately our metro is about to experience a blizzard and hazardous conditions Wednesday morning. These unsafe conditions are extremely dangerous for students and staff.

Please keep being the best district in the state and make the right decision of canceling school.

@nickjku1 @bv_cancel @bvschools Yeah unfortunately. This is yet again another example of the district making a poor decision when it comes to adverse weather conditions. They are prioritizing education over safety which is very sad. I am not sure how we are the best district in the state.

@bvschools It makes no sense to have school for one day after not having school for over a week. This will not allow teachers to introduce a week’s worth of new material in a 45 min class period. It is best to just start school next week with a full week of uninterrupted learning.

@bvschools Do we really want to risk the lives of our students and staff having to commute via the highway to get to school???? These photos were taken this morning and who knows what could happen tomorrow with teenagers driving.

@bvschools Tomorrow morning's temperature will be -9, with a wind chill of -25, resulting in frostbite within five minutes, making travel impossible for pedestrians. The extreme cold will also prevent all vehicles and school buses from starting. Close all BV schools tomorrow, February 20.
