@bvschools@HMSTBirds@SREFalcons@MustangsBvn Do you really want to put your students and staff at risk? This severe high wind warning is life and property threatening. This is highly unsafe for the district to be letting kids and teachers go to school.
Please cancel Wednesday so we can avoid accidents and anything else.
@bvschools@HMSTBirds@SREFalcons@MustangsBvn Please cancel school tommorow due to the https://t.co/TtfTQV4NPi won’t be safe for people to drive in and especially people that walk.the roads will also be icy due to the rain mixed with snow
@bvschools@HMSTBirds@SREFalcons@MustangsBvn The rain will become freezing rain overnight, forming a layer of ice on the roads. At least three inches of snow will also fall. Tomorrow morning, wind gusts will reach 70mph, making visibility low and travel extremely dangerous. Close all BV schools tomorrow, March 5.
@bvschools Given the forecasted severe weather conditions including showers, storms, the possibility of snow, and potential tornado activity it is prudent to cancel school tomorrow to ensure the safety of students and staff.
@bvschools Unfortunately our metro is about to experience a blizzard and hazardous conditions Wednesday morning. These unsafe conditions are extremely dangerous for students and staff.
Please keep being the best district in the state and make the right decision of canceling school.
@nickjku1@bv_cancel@bvschools Yes, I saw that too. I am not sure if that is enough to cancel school though. It won’t be cold enough to stay and cause hazardous conditions.
@nickjku1@bv_cancel@bvschools Yeah unfortunately. This is yet again another example of the district making a poor decision when it comes to adverse weather conditions. They are prioritizing education over safety which is very sad. I am not sure how we are the best district in the state.
@nickjku1@bv_cancel@bvschools That will be a poor decision on the district’s end because it’s still supposed to be negative wind chills and barely over 0 degrees tomorrow.
I am not sure how buses will start.
@bvschools Do we really want to raise this number and risk the lives of students, families, and staff just to go to school???
If that is the case then our district has failed as a community. Let’s do the right thing and cancel school tomorrow (Friday).
@bvschools It makes no sense to have school for one day after not having school for over a week. This will not allow teachers to introduce a week’s worth of new material in a 45 min class period. It is best to just start school next week with a full week of uninterrupted learning.
@bvschools Do we really want to risk the lives of our students and staff having to commute via the highway to get to school???? These photos were taken this morning and who knows what could happen tomorrow with teenagers driving.
Let’s continue to be the best district and do what’s right!
@bvschools Tomorrow morning's temperature will be -9, with a wind chill of -25, resulting in frostbite within five minutes, making travel impossible for pedestrians. The extreme cold will also prevent all vehicles and school buses from starting. Close all BV schools tomorrow, February 20.
@bvschools Snow is falling and 5 more inches will accumulate in the area by tonight. The roads will not be in suitable conditions for travel by tomorrow, and tomorrow morning’s wind chill will be -25. Close all BV schools tomorrow, February 19 for the safety of students and staff.
