ایک طرف پاکستان 14 اگست کی تیاریوں، جشن اور چراغاں میں مصروف دکھائی دیتا ہے، گلیاں جھنڈیوں سے سجائی جا رہی ہیں اور گھروں پر پرچم لہرائے جا رہے ہیں، مگر اسی وقت دوسری جانب بلوچستان کی سرزمین پر ایک ایسا منظر ہے جسے الفاظ میں بیان کرنا بھی شاید ممکن نہیں۔بلوچستان میں عام آبادیوں پر بمباری، جنگی طیاروں سے شیلنگ، گھروں کی تباہی اور جبری گمشدگیوں کی خبریں ایک بار پھر خوفناک شدت کے ساتھ سامنے آ رہی ہیں۔ وہاں جشن نہیں، سوگ ہے، چراغاں نہیں بلکہ ماؤں کی آنکھوں میں درد اور اندھیرا ہے۔

سوراب میں عام آبادیوں پر جنگی طیاروں سے شیلنگ اور بمباری کی تصاویر اور اطلاعات نہ صرف بلوچ قوم کے لیے ایک انتہائی سنگین انسانی المیہ ہیں بلکہ یہ ایک لازمی سوال بھی اٹھاتی ہیں، آخر ایک ریاست عام شہریوں کے خلاف جنگی طیاروں کا استعمال کیسے کر سکتی ہے؟

اور اگر ان مناظر کو بھی کسی سرکاری بیان، کسی ترجمان، ٹاؤٹ یا ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کی زبان یا کسی سیاسی جواز کے ذریعے معمول ثابت کرنے کی کوش�� کی جائے تو یہ محض ایک واقعے کی وضاحت نہیں ہوگی بلکہ یہ انسانی اذیت کو نظرانداز کرنے کے مترادف ہوگا۔

سوراب سے آنے والی تصاویر دل چیر دینے والی ہیں۔ ملبے میں تبدیل ہوتے گھر، خوف زدہ چہرے، زخمی چہرہ و بدن اور ان کے درمیان اپنے پیاروں کو تلاش کرتے لوگ۔۔۔ یہ محض تصویریں نہیں، ایک پوری سرزمین کے اضطراب کی گواہی ہیں۔ جو آنکھ ان مناظر کو دیکھ کر بھی بے چین نہ ہو شاید اسے اپنے اندر کی انسانیت سے ایک بار پھر سوال کرنا چاہیے۔

Various reports of an airstrike/quadcopter attacks on civilians in Surab district, as reported on social media and by Balochistan-based online media outlets, are deeply disturbing. The images coming out of the area are very horrifying that show women, men and children under the rubble, disfigured bodies and some uncovered in blood.

As if enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the criminalisation of dissent through the Fourth Schedule and collective punishment were not enough, the government and military establishment now appears to have resorted to airstrikes and quadcopter attacks against civilian populations.

My heart cries with the loss of innocent lives and pictures of children killed in the attacks shared on social media should be a matter of concern and shame for authorities. One can’t make peace with killing innocent children.

The family members of the civilians killed in the attacks are staging a sit in on main highway with 5 dead bodies of their loved ones. According to locals, two dead bodies were very disfigured and that were buried. At least 20 were injured and some bodies are still under the rubble.

I call for a full, independent, and transparent investigation into this incident. I also urge Pakistan’s civil society organizations and human rights groups to speak out against this barbarism. Silence must not allow such violence to become normalized in Balochistan.

Last night, Pakistani forces bombed the town of Gondan in Surab, Balochistan. At least 20 bodies have been recovered from the rubble, while many others remain injured and in need of urgent medical assistance.

The affected area is surrounded by Pakistani forces, restricting access for rescue teams, medical staff, ambulances, and journalists. Blocking humanitarian assistance and independent documentation compounds the grave human rights violations and demands immediate international attention.

I urge journalists, medical teams, humanitarian organizations, and people around the world to demand immediate access to the affected area, ensure medical assistance reaches survivors.
