Look, in theory I love the idea of stay-at-home parents getting $9k per child, but my decade teaching in the ghetto taught me some hard realities.

I'm just telling you that I knew illegal immigrants getting aid that was supposed to be for citizens, multi-family homes triple dipping in aid meant for single families, families reporting illegal immigrant relatives as dependents, and so forth.

People are clever and savvy and most of these aid office workers that are supposed to screen and monitor people in these communities can't be bothered to care.

What I would much rather see is something far more simple: reduce the tax burden on families.

I don't want an expansion of the welfare state that incentivizes the tens of millions of immigrants to have more children on the backs' of working class Americans.
