And we did it, 390km in 8 days, on Bromptons, camping (mostly!), towing a homemade bamboo trailer. Helsingborg to Gothenburg

Lovely weather for the 12km ride into Gothenburg

Our last day of camping and cycling. The weather has improved considerably. Only 12km to Gothenburg.
I liked this concept on our camp site- an automatic kayak rental dock (think scooter hire only with kayaks).

At a beach bar it's cold and windy. But rather dramatic

Current location. Two days of cycling left then it's a day looking at art and stuff in Gothenburg

I'm really not sure what this is TBH. There's not many stone buildings - most are made of wood. Actually it's a repurposed windmill

This photo has 3 things the Swedes love. A red wooden house, a flagpole with a Swedish flag (seen literally hundreds of them), and to the left, a robot lawnmower - they love these! All that's missing is a mini-golf park -there's hundreds of those for some reason

hoto of the bamboo trailer hitch. The bamboo end is reinforced with epoxy and cloth. A hole is drilled in the end and numerous cable ties loop round a hitch. The horizontal slice of cork stops the hitch opening accidentally. I should have used steel rope tbh. Just about works!

We are in Varberg. Wimped out and staying in a hotel to stop the trenchfoot setting in. I like the logo on this beer. A spade

We are at a terrific cafe on the route -about 8m from Varberg. Great Swedish waffles with rhubarb

Torrential rain this morning so set off late. It's cleared up and we are on the way to Varberg

After yesterday's sun, we are indoors on the campsite - raining heavily and it's not going to get any better. At some stage we just need to actually set off!

It's blustery outside and we are eating at a rather cool surf shack restaurant on the beach
