@Dasimpsonjnr@deejayfaremi VAR is broken - it is pointless if the VAR officials are going to decide which incidents the Ref should review and which he shouldn’t. It might be better to follow Tennis and give each team a certain number (maybe 3) of VAR reviews that must happen if they request it…

@woolford3387@CraigMurrayOrg That was then this is now, this team can’t concede 2 goals every game and expect to make it all the way…but for the referee and VAR’s help they conceded 3 in this game and could have easily conceded a penalty at the death. This team can’t win the next 3 matches that’s for sure..
@8Flavs It’s a disgrace, the kick on his foot is so CLEAR.
But if they gave the foul it would be a penalty and Argentina would be out.
FIFA can’t have that.
VAR didn't review two clear fouls inside the Argentinian box (against Egypt players) before Enzo Fernández's goal. Why? A foul on Martínez overturned Egypt's second goal. Why does the treatment have to be so one-sided? This is completely unfair. FIFA, be ashamed. Be genuinely ashamed. This is Robbery. Egypt have been robbed.
VAR clearly won this game for Argentina - they won’t be so lucky against Switzerland or Colombia - this team isn’t good enough to reach the Final again. Better teams than Cape Verde & Egypt will blow them away for sure…sad to see what VAR has turned into - very sad for football!

@oviosu@FIFAWorldCup Tielemans pushed a defender to score a header for Belgium to equalize against Senegal and VAR didn’t see the need to review it - now Egypt’s 2nd goal against Argentina is wiped off and the trip on Salah isn’t reviewed because it could lead to a game winning penalty for Egypt! Sad
@woolford3387@CraigMurrayOrg Except that Egypt could have been going 3-0 up instead of 2-0? VAR’s influence on this game was more than a 2 goal swing…if VAR had disallowed Argentina’s winning goal they would have to award Egypt a penalty which could have also been a winning goal at that stage of the game!
Wait, so Tielemans pushed a defender to score a header for Belgium to equalize against Senegal and VAR didn’t see the need to review it - now Egypt’s 2nd goal against Argentina is wiped off because of a very soft shirt tug more than 5 passes before at the other end of the pitch?
@ColinUdoh Not Senegal’s fault to be honest - that Belgium’s 2nd goal never should have stood - why didn’t VAR ask the referee to review the clear push the goalscorer made against the Senegalese defender to be in the position to head the ball in, but then review for a game winning penalty?
@Xtopherewesi Just Sweden didn’t age well, Germany still won when it mattered…plus I did say CIV will be one of the 3 African teams to go furthest in this tournament…
@Xtopherewesi I think I meant Netherlands is a dark horse, not Sweden! 😂 Honestly I blame Tunisia for making Sweden look better than they actually are 😅
@Xtopherewesi I think Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire & Senegal may go the furthest for Africa, but honestly I think it’ll be tough for any of them to make the quarter-finals if they meet any of the teams I mentioned above in Round of 32 or 16. Will update my thoughts after 2nd round of group games…!
@Bimbochan@rainnie_q Not just wind-aided, that performance was eventually erased from the records after she got banned…effectively it can’t even be included in wind-aided times either…
