My heart can no longer bear all this pain…💔😔
Yesterday, we lived through two hours of terror.
I saw people fleeing before my eyes, and I saw others running while carrying an injured person, as shelling and gunfire surrounded us.
Just moments before, I had been playing with my daughter, Rafif.
We were laughing and learning from each other…
Then, in a single moment, everything changed, and death suddenly felt so close to us.
I held Rafif in my arms and started running with her, but the place where we live cannot protect us.
Parts of it are nothing more than pieces of tarpaulin that cannot shield us from shrapnel or bullets.
I told my family and my sister’s children to go downstairs to the bottom of the building where we all live.
The children sat there close together, their little faces filled with fear.
Now, my daughter and my sister’s children tremble whenever they hear any loud sound… Fear has become part of their childhood.
What have the children of Gaza done to deserve living through such terror? Why should they grow up not knowing whether they will still be alive tomorrow?
Our lives could be taken from us at any moment.
Rafif’s family asks you for just one thing: Please pray for us.
Remember our faces, and don’t forget us.
And if one day you stop hearing from Rafif’s family… please, don’t forget us in your prayers. 💔
