From #D4vd defense at today's hearing: "We believe the actual evidence will show David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez nor was he the cause of her death." They have asked for a preliminary hearing within the 10 days as required by statute, if defense doesn't waive. "..we would like to be able to have the evidence come into the light of day at the earliest opportunity .." #DavidBurke That date is set for April 23.

@SaltySteno @PhD_OnTheCouch I hear you and I believe your coming from a place of genuine concern. But substance abuse & mental illness is rarely cause for life long conservatorship. If she breaks the law she needs to pay the consequences. But again dui isn’t a reason for one. They were only concerned about-

It’s gained more awareness recently. Idk what she has but I remember they use to say bipolar. Which untreated can -

@PhD_OnTheCouch @SaltySteno She’s a far cry from who she used to be but acting strange or making bad choices isn’t typically the standard, or a lot more adults would be under them. Even though I don’t agree with extensive conservatorship in her case, she still needs support.

@PhD_OnTheCouch @SaltySteno They’re usually meant for people who can’t manage their own affairs (dementia and brain damage etc). They can be used for mental health crisis but it is unusual for it to last as long as it did, especially after holding up her career (Vegas residency, X factor judge etc)
