African institutions play a central role in ensuring that democratic processes are grounded in regional context and experience. We recognise and appreciate the tireless efforts of the electoral observers, who deployed teams across the country to support our electoral process and look forward to the outcomes.

We discussed a range of priorities, including his new role as the @_AfricanUnion Champion for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health, a timely and important responsibility for our continent.
Innovation will be essential to Africa’s health future. As we face evolving challenges, we must harness the power of AI and digital technologies to strengthen our health systems, expand access, and improve health outcomes for all.

@AfricaCDC welcomes Ethiopia’s leadership and commitment to sharing its experience. By working together, we can ensure that innovation translates into practical, inclusive, and equitable impact.

The US and Ethiopia have cooperated in aviation since the 1930s, when American John C. Robinson (sometimes called “the Father of the Tuskegee Airmen”) helped the country establish its air force and train its pilots. It was my honor to attend the Black Lion Air Show and celebrate the 90th anniversary of that air force. Also got to travel in a V-22 Osprey, a hybrid plane-helicopter, which makes for a pretty cool entrance. 🇺🇸✈️🇪🇹

As the current year comes to a close, we remain committed to ensuring government service delivery is streamlined and efficient. The MESOB one-stop service centre is expanding beyond Federal services into regional and administrative city services. On the eve of the new year, we reviewed the newly launched Addis MESOB one-stop service centre, currently providing 107 city administration services by 13 institutions. This reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing service delivery as a cornerstone of good governance, ensuring citizens receive timely, transparent, and accessible services.
