@S3Plan7@BMcCarthy32@CKilgarriff11 Not even. Trout matched Harper’s fWAR of 9.3 in 2015 and had just put up seasons of 10.1, 10.1, and 8.3. Harper was at 4.4, 4.1, 1.6 in that time span
@PDX49ersDucksMs@MiLBMariners Well AAA is an awful place for pitchers, and we have no space for him in the rotation right now, so if you want to lose a year of control to have him in the bullpen then sure
@pitchprofiler That would be the case if the players agree to a deal akin the one proposed by the owners. A setup similar to the NFL (floor at 90% of cap) would be most beneficial to fans.
@yybusscunu don’t think you’re active on twitter, but celebrating your day of birth today! Hopefully you see this 5 years in the future. I can’t believe you’re already 35!
I went into one of these once that was freshly “cleaned” but someone had taken a shit right in the middle of the floor, so it just got sprayed everywhere
@atphillyowl11@Ranger2Marchan It doesn’t. It’s constructed through run values. If you miss a play that most 1B will make, that has a quantifiable negative run value. The majority of war is batting run value, but Harper has been awful at 1B so far.
@DarrenTrain@MarinerMenace Right, nobody really knows, but prospect grades are the best we’ve got to evaluate minor league talent. People scout and evaluate prospects for a living, they’re professionals, we should trust their opinions.
@DarrenTrain@MarinerMenace AA is the real test. Colt was a much higher rated prospect, felnin is on a very hot streak right now but he needs to prove it over a long period of time. He will likely not be up next year.
