Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” was inspired by a concert where the audience sang so loudly that the band had to stop and let them take the lead.
Freddie Mercury wanted to create a song designed for people to sing at the top of their lungs. It became one of his biggest posthumous hits.
We have to remember this too:
Alex Tuch is from Upstate New York. He grew up a Sabres fan. They just won a division title with him
And he comes to Washington and signs an 8-year deal.
Clearly he and Kyrou see what this team is building and want to be a part of it. This is nuts
@averagecapsfan This is the correct take. I keep seeing people on here saying the caps got fleeced and dont understand trading CMC. He is a middle six player at best. Inconsistent and like you said, caps obviously need goal scoring. Trade makes total sense especially with NHL being an arms race
McMichael is an average middle six guy, Gastrin is not one of our best prospects, and the 16th pick might net you a Kyrou level player if you’re lucky, so why not just get actual Kyrou with at least 5 more years of solid production expected? Great deal
Its a decent haul for kyrou. The truth is mcmichael never really found consistency and gastrin probably isnt cracking the lineup soon and neither is a 16th overall pick. Kyrou helps immediately and adds scoring and speed. In carbery we trust. Has succeeded in evolving players
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 @KatieFlorio & @JohnWaltonPxP break down the huge trade in the Capitals acquiring Jordan Kyrou from St. Louis in exchange for Connor McMichael, Milton Gastrin and the #16 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft

In a new sitdown interview with Mike Vogel, GM Chris Patrick and president of hockey operations Brian MacLellan said the Capitals are still looking to add a skill player this summer, and want someone in their prime who can be on for the long haul.
