Όταν τον Μάρτιο του 2020 προσπάθησαν να με κάψουν ζωντανό βάζοντας φωτιά στην ξύλινη πόρτα της εισόδου της μικρής πολυκατοικίας στην οποία διαμένω, από την οποία (πόρτα) η πόρτα του διαμερίσματός μου (φαίνεται αριστερά) απέχει 2 μέτρα (όταν άνοιξα μετά το "μπαμ", οι φλόγες μπήκαν μέσα στο σπίτι μου), εκτός από την σιγή ασυρμάτου όλων των κομμάτων (ούτε καταδίκη, ούτε "θα τους πιάσουμε", ούτε έστω και μια αράδα ανακοίνωσης, ούτε καν από την νεοδημοκρατούμενη Περιφέρεια Αττικής, το θεσμικό όργανο στο οποίο είχα εκλεγεί) είχε "ενδιαφέρον" η κωμική προσπάθεια των ΜΜΕ να υποβαθμίσουν το γεγονός. Δείτε εδώ τη γελοιότητα του LIFO: έβαλε μια φωτογραφία... αρχείου! Βρήκε μια φωτογραφία από επίθεση σε έναν δημοσιογράφο του ΣΚΑΪ, που είχε ελάχιστες ζημιές και την κότσαρε, μολονότι είχα ήδη ανεβάσει στο διαδίκτυο την φωτογραφία της καμένης πόρτας.

I am having a drink this evening with a friend in a Chiswick pub. Two policemen have just come into the pub and asked me to step outside. I have stepped outside and they have threatened me because I tweeted about a councillor banning seating outside pubs in Chiswick. They admit on video (watch it!) that I did not break the law at all. They came to threaten me. To warn me off tweeting about councillors and the council. This is modern Britain. This is the police state. Please, please, please watch this video. It does involve me using very bad language, but this has got to be seen. Police coming out to threaten someone who hasn’t committed a crime. I’m fuming.

You can work insanely hard for 30 years, climb to the top… yet still live in mediocrity because your parents never owned a house in a good area.

Meanwhile, your junior colleagues inherit property from parents in Kensington or Surbiton and cruise through life with houses, wealth, and freedom.

The system taxes earned income heavily but barely touches inherited wealth, property gains, and pensions.

I interviewed Will Guidara, who ran Eleven Madison Park, the best restaurant in the world.

His most famous move: a table mentioned they were flying home without ever getting a New York street hot dog. So he ran out to a cart, bought one, had his chef slice it up and plate it fancy, and served it before their honey-lavender duck course.
