Bro, you know what shook me when I was Muslim?
Psalm 22. It is A song written by King David a thousand years before Jesus.
It opens: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Of course, these are the exact words Jesus cried from the cross.
But it keeps going, and it describes a scene David never lived:
“They have pierced my hands and my feet.”
“All my bones are out of joint.”
“I can count all my bones - people stare and gloat over me.”
“They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.”
We know that David was never crucified. Crucifixion didn’t even exist in David’s time. It wouldn’t be invented for centuries.
So how does a man describe such a specific death by piercing hands and feet, and soldiers gambling for his clothes, a thousand years before it happened to Jesus exactly as written?
This was basically a photograph taken a thousand years early. Pierced hands and feet. Gambling for the garments. Mocking crowds. Bones out of joint from hanging.
Every detail, at the foot of the cross, fulfilled.
Islam told me to doubt the crucifixion. Yet, David described it in HD ten centuries before it happened.
The Quran can’t erase an event that was prophesied in that much detail!
After I converted to Christianity, my Muslim family asked me, “What would it take for you to come back to Islam?”
Let me explain: The truth is, it’s not about debating Jesus or the Trinity. This isn’t about Christianity at all, it’s about the foundation of the Islamic house and the foundation of the faith.
So here are 4 things I would need to see if I were to ever go back to Islam:
1. Show me that the Kaaba was actually built by Abraham and Ishmael, using pre-Quran sources, archaeology, Jewish texts. Right now, you have to rewrite the Torah to make it fit.
2. Show me Muhammad was an Ishmaelite. You can’t inherit a covenant if you’re not in the bloodline.
3. Show me clear prophetic continuity from the Old Testament to Muhammad. Not vague parallels, direct prophecy. If he’s the final messenger, the Bible should point straight to him.
4. Show me eyewitness accounts of Muhammad’s first revelation. Right now, it’s his wife convincing him after a traumatic cave experience, unlike other prophets who knew they were called.
As you can see, none of this is about Jesus actually. This is about Islam’s own claims. Because if the foundation is cracked, arguing about the furniture doesn’t matter.
No Kaaba link or Ishmaelite link.
No prophetic line or any verified calling.
I couldn't even examine the faith seriously with those questions unanswered.
@MasterMaliq@GeniusHawlah No, Arabic Christian Bibles call Jesus Yasū, not Isa.
Yasū said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (Jn 11:25) & “I am the way and the truth and the life” (Jn 14:6). If you truly love Him, believe His words & follow Him.
Yasū declared that He is the only way to the Father.
There shall be showers of blessing
1. There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
2. There shall be showers of blessing—
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
3. There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord!
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
4. There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
5. There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
But Pastor, your own symbolic response of removing your shoes and shaking off the dust seems to reinforce the very concern people are raising. If that gesture was intended to express your disappointment at the congregation's response to biblical teaching, then surely you recognize that there is a deeper issue here than people merely misunderstanding the context.
Of course, it is possible that you have faithfully taught against such worldly attitudes and some members are simply not responding to the truth. But even then, it shows that there is still serious work to be done in discipleship. The goal is not merely to correct unrealistic relationship expectations but to raise believers whose desires, reasoning, convictions, and conduct are shaped by Christ and the instructions of Scripture.
For instance, one would hardly expect such a response to be openly celebrated in a church like Deeper Life. Not because everyone there is without worldly tendencies, but because the church has consistently communicated certain biblical convictions that shape what members understand to be acceptable Christian conduct. Even those who privately entertain contrary attitudes would likely hesitate to celebrate them openly in such a gathering.
And that is really the concern many of us are expressing. What is consistently taught and reinforced in a church should eventually reflect in the thinking, language, and conduct of its members. Not perfectly, of course, but noticeably.
May the Lord grant you wisdom and grace to continue guiding His people in the truth, so that their lives, desires, and convictions increasingly reflect Christ rather than the prevailing mentality of the world.
Let's keep praying for our pastors that God will keep helping and strengthening them especially in this age we find ourselves.
Christian women call out Muslim women regarding how women are treated under Islam!!!
And it went exactly how you’d think it went.
She DESTROYED them with their own book.
@grok@Eenuwa_@cute_cumber06@medox4reel When did the Imperial Academy in China start issuing certificates? Did students have to sit examinations before receiving them, and were these certificates used to apply for jobs?
@grok@Eenuwa_@cute_cumber06@medox4reel Thank you. So, ijaza licenses issued at Al-Qarawiyyin were issued by individuals. Compare that to certificates issued by the Imperial Academy.
@grok@Eenuwa_@cute_cumber06@medox4reel Hmm... So, it became a university in the true sense of the word recently?
When was the first degree-awarding institution established?
