@EricTopol Despite its obvious misuse during Covid, mRNA has tremendous promise for curing diseases.
Artificial RNA essentially makes curing diseases a software problem.
It's been one month since the World Cup ended, and looking back at it now, it feels surreal.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I genuinely miss it.
What a special time...

NOW - NASA reveals a phased timeline for colonizing the Moon with settler outposts and awards Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin lunar lander contracts to establish the lunar base.
NASA has just launched a new website for its Moon Base missions, which aims to build a permanent $20 billion U.S. base on the Moon. @SpaceX's Starship rocket will play a big role in these missions.
"The Moon Base is a home away from Earth for Artemis astronauts who will live and work at humanity’s first lunar outpost. NASA is leading global teams of innovators across international space agencies, industry, and academia to build the Moon Base and establish an enduring human presence near the lunar South Pole for the benefit of all.
Phase One (Now–2029): Experiment and Learn
NASA will begin with a rapid series of robotic missions to scout the lunar South Pole region, test technologies, and prepare for surface operations ahead of future astronaut missions.:
• A major increase in lunar activity, with up to 25 missions, including 21 landings.
• Crewed and autonomous rovers for mobility demonstrations and surface preparation, along with four drones known as MoonFall and communications relay and observation satellites.
• Early demonstrations of power, navigation, communications, and nuclear radioisotope heater unit technologies designed to endure the long lunar night.
• Scientific payload opportunities integrated across landers and rovers.
• The first tangible footprint of Moon Base effort, with four tons of payload delivered to test what works on the lunar surface.
Phase Two (2029–2032): Early Habitation
By 2029, NASA will transition to assembling semi-permanent infrastructure and initiating early habitation and logistics operations:
• Deployment of expanded solar power systems and initial nuclear surface power capabilities, potentially including fission reactors and radioisotope power systems.
• Upgraded rovers, potential advanced MoonFall drones, and early habitation elements.
• Enhanced surface-to-orbit communications networks to provide reliable connectivity across the lunar South Pole region.
• Delivery of up to 60 tons of cargo through as many as 24 landings using low-, medium-, and heavy-class cargo landers.
Phase Three (2032 and Beyond): Sustained Human Presence
This phase will scale operations to achieve a true enduring presence, with routine crew rotations and continuous surface activity. This is when living and working on the Moon becomes a reality:
• Semi-permanent habitation modules with spacious interior for crew living and operations.
• Operational fission surface power systems capable of delivering steady, reliable energy through the long lunar nights, leveraging in situ resource manufacturing.
• Advanced logistics networks supported by crewed and autonomous rovers to keep the base supplied and functioning year-round.
• Delivery of up to 38 tons of cargo annually to sustain habitats, power systems, logistics operations, and major science outposts, enabled by low-cost reusable heavy-lift capabilities."

Active BTC Addresses Hit a New Low in 2026: Lowest Level in 8 Years
“Historically, lows in the active addresses indicator have coincided with most profitable long-term accumulation bases.” – By @gaah_im
🇦🇺An Australian tech founder with zero biology background sequenced his dog’s tumor DNA, then used ChatGPT and AlphaFold to design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine.
A month later, the tumors shrank by half.
And this is just the start of AI medicine.
this is so fucking wholesome
guy used AI to save his cancer-ridden dog by sequencing its DNA and creating a CUSTOM cure.
the tech behind this is fucking awesome (well done @demishassabis and the google team):
- used CHATGPT to sequence dogs DNA discovers mutations
- ran the mutations through Google’s Alphafold (AI protein sequencer) which CREATED A CUSTOM VACCINE TO TREAT THEM.
- treated dog and reduced tumour by 50% in WEEKS. dog is alive and well.
- this is the 1st time AI has been used to create a custom vaccine for a dog (and it worked)
- dude is now working on similar vaccines for humans using AI!
2026 is definitely the year we see AI change personalised medicine in a HUGE way
so sick
🇺🇸 If Alex Pretti did not reach for his gun, he should not have been shot.
I think we can all agree on that.
We can also agree that if one law enforcement officer makes a mistake, or does something wrong, it does not mean all law enforcement is suddenly bad, and it does not justify any violent response by anyone.
The law is there for a reason, and say what you wan, the U.S. has one of the best legal systems in the world
Denmark has a dark past in Greenland, a past it would rather you didn't talk about, child abduction, forced sterilisation, forced Labour and exploitation.
Denmark’s possession of Greenland, whose actual name is Kalaallit Nunaat, began as a mission to reclaim land from "lost" Norsemen but evolved into centuries of systemic cultural erasure and economic exploitation of the Indigenous Inuit.
In 1721, Danish missionary Hans Egede arrived to "save" Norse descendants from paganism. Finding only Inuit, he instead forcibly converted them to Lutheranism, denouncing traditional shamans and rituals. Denmark then established a state trade monopoly in 1776, treating the island as a profitable hub for whale blubber and minerals while keeping the indigenous Inuit isolated and dependent.
In 1953, Denmark formally annexed Greenland as a "county" to avoid UN decolonization requirements, this led to a period of brutal social engineering.
This era also saw the sinister "Little Danes" experiment, where the state abducted Inuit children and relocated them to Denmark to be molded into a Danish-speaking elite, causing lifelong trauma. Simultaneously, thousands of Inuit were forcibly moved from ancestral hunting grounds into concrete apartment blocks to centralize labor for Danish controlled factories, devastating traditional kinship networks.
Between 1966 and 1970, Danish authorities further violated Indigenous rights by secretly fitting over 4,500 Inuit women and girls, some as young as 12 with IUDs without consent to curb the population.
While Greenland gained Home Rule in 1979 and Self-Government in 2009, the legacy of Danish control persists.
As of today, Greenland remains a territory under the "Danish Crown" with some International bodies continimg to pressure Denmark to address its colonial legacy of racial discrimination and provide justice for the victims of the "Spiral Case" and forced child removals.
So as the Danes shout about "US Imperialism" bear in mind how they came to control this region far from Danish shores, and how brutally they exploited it's people for the "Crown"
SPACEX HEADLINES $2.9T IPO SURGE, STARLINK SPINOFF COULD TRIGGER HISTORIC MARKET WAVE
SpaceX is now the crown jewel of private markets, topping at a $1.5 trillion valuation.
That’s over 50% of the total $2.9T expected wave.
If it lists, it would be the largest space-sector IPO in history, dwarfing Blue Origin or OneWeb ambitions.
What follows SpaceX is less clear.
OpenAI ($500B) remains cagey, with Altman publicly claiming an IPO is “years away,” though insiders say investor pressure is mounting.
ByteDance ($480B) faces geopolitical firewalls.
Stripe ($106.7B) is cleaning up cap tables ahead of a long-expected debut.
Databricks ($134B) says it’s ready for 2026.
Anthropic ($183B) has valuation heat, but no confirmed plans.
These aren’t normal valuations.
They are ballooned by venture momentum, SoftBank-style markups, and record private liquidity.
If SpaceX goes first, and hits, others may follow in a tech-led rebound.

🚨 ELON CALLED TIME OF DEATH ON MONEY - SAYS AI WILL MAKE WORK “OPTIONAL” IN 10–20 YEARS
Elon sat down with Zerodha CEO Nikhil Kamath and dropped his most ambitious prediction yet - not Mars, not robots, not Neuralink - but the end of the economy as we know it.
His thesis is simple, borderline utopian, and absolutely explosive:
AI will be so powerful in 10–20 years that money becomes irrelevant, and working becomes optional.
Not “optional” like a sabbatical.
Optional like “grow your own tomatoes or buy them, no one cares - machines do the work.”
Elon’s core arguments:
1. Money is just an information system.
He frames money as a routing protocol for labor and resources - a tool we only need because humans have scarcity and limits.
If AI removes scarcity?
The system collapses into abundance.
2. Energy becomes the real currency.
Not Bitcoin. Not dollars. Not central-bank digital tokens.
Just raw energy - the power that feeds the AI models and the robots that generate the abundance.
If you control energy, you control value.
If energy becomes nearly limitless (fusion, solar scaling, energy storage), you don’t need money to ration it.
3. AI + robotics = “post-work civilization.”
Elon predicts: humans won’t need to live in cities, jobs become hobbies, AI handles all production, wealth allocation becomes irrelevant.
“In the long-term, money disappears as a concept.
Anyone can have anything.”
This is not the Elon who warns about AI doomsday.
This Elon the techno-optimist - the guy who believes that if AI developers hard-code truth, beauty, and curiosity, the future bends toward utopia, not dystopia.
4. But there's a catch... a huge one.
Even Elon admits the transition is dangerous.
If AI becomes the engine of civilization, who owns the engine?
Corporations? Governments? A handful of billionaires?
The post-money dream only works if the technology is shared, not monopolized.
Right now, frontier AI models are controlled by:
the U.S.
China
and a cluster of mega-corporations
That’s not a recipe for a communal abundance economy.
That’s a recipe for digital feudalism.
The real takeaway:
Elon isn’t predicting an economy upgrade.
He’s predicting the dissolution of the economy - the first serious mainstream tech voice to say aloud that capitalism itself becomes obsolete if AI matures fully.
And whether he ends up right or wrong, that single idea - “money disappears, work optional” - will hit politicians, economists, and regulators like a grenade.
Because if Elon is even half-correct, every institution built over the last 400 years is living on borrowed time.
