I live in Eastern North Carolina.

Relief agencies here are suggesting that we not travel to the areas affected by Hurricane Helene as they are in the middle of rescue and recovery operations. They do not want an influx of people into an already unstable area.

Donald Trump has no business traveling to Georgia right now.

This is a brazenly performative and calculated measure and is simply an effort to weaponize millions of people's trauma to aid his faltering campaign.

While president, Donald Trump did nothing to help Americans during natural disasters or public health emergencies, but exacerbated them by his incompetence and abject cruelty.

His Project 2025 would:
- Eliminate FEMA
- Eliminate the National Weather Service
- Eliminate federal-backed flood insurance
- Eliminate emergency disaster funding for state/local governments

Donald Trump is a conman, a criminal, and he lacks any decency or empathy.

The fact that he would turn wide-scale American suffering and death into a photo-op, shows again why he doesn't deserve a single American's vote.

The good people of this nation should fully reject him.

In times of consequence, we need a wise, intelligent, and compassionate leader like Kamala Harris, not a narcissistic sideshow clown.
