I was at four different games today at both arenas. I guess it didn’t come across on TV but there was a lot of juice from the crowds. Maui is like 2k at best. The arenas of course much larger in Vegas. Plus ticket prices were crazy. And the games were extremely competitive

-no bracket, random tie breakers including the AP Poll, half filled at best venues with no juice

Maui/Atlantis
-8 team bracket, tiny gym/ballroom in one off locations, real juice from the crowd

Players Era undoubtedly has great teams, but one is truly “feast week”

But we’d probably have to come up with some new ways to pick teams. Maybe any team that doesn’t win over 33% of their conference games is ineligible. What do you think?

@GrahamDoeren @Jmac3560 @Adsooner07 I know you feel your team should be higher. Our job is to replicate what the committee will do. With their NET n metrics this is about where they will fall based on what other committees have done historically. Could they end up better? Sure. But this is our best estimate

@Adsooner07 @GrahamDoeren Matt it all matters. I’ll say this. There is no world Memphis is a four. Yes they have some really nice wins. But unfortunately for them they play in a conference that doesn’t afford them many opportunities— very similar to St. Mary’s. The metrics do matter to the committee
