One of the terms that are often associated with Blockchain is 'Decentralisation'. It is the decentralised nature of Blockchain that provides the base for creating trustless services and ensure their availability.

Public Key Infrastructure

As the name suggests, a public key infrastructure (PKI) involves all the infrastructure used to manage the public key cryptography system. It uses pairs of keys: Public Key and Private Key.

The PKI creates digital certificates that map public keys to entities, securely stores these certificates in a central repository, and revokes them if needed.
