I was talking to a person who works in health care this morning, said person I would say would have been pro vax, pro refugee two years ago, but now is on the verge of far right, Said person said the health service is in a shambles, operations canceled even though the surgeons and staff are available to do them due to lack of beds. Said person said in the cancer day center the majority are non nationals many whom have arrived here in recent months many of whom make no secret they came to Ireland to be treated but are very annoyed that they have not been given a house yet, said person said huge influx of persons with aids and all the medical complications that that brings leading to the system being even more overwhelmed with the massive costs involved in treating them, Said person said in their estate many houses have been rented by local council and other irish housing authorities but not one Irish person houses, said person said a friend of theirs is on a housing list for over 12 years but a person who rocked up in Ireland last Feb is now housed in a 500 K house that they do not pay for. Talking to other health care professionals yields the same stories, GP are being encouraged to take on anyone but Irish and if they do not I am being told there is a NGO onto them within hours explaining that it is the duty of the practice to take these patients on or else they could find themselves in front of the medial council. Throw in the free access to legal eagles for anyone that arrives in Ireland who feel they have a grievance, It is starting to look like Ireland is no longer a country for the irish.
