Anthropic will buy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD's Instinct MI450 chips starting in 2027. AMD is putting up to $5 billion into the deal and is reportedly weighing whether to help finance Anthropic's data-center leases too.

This is the same playbook Nvidia and OpenAI have been running, chipmakers not just selling hardware but bankrolling the buildout that guarantees demand for it. AMD just bought its way into being a core supplier for one of the biggest labs in AI.

Two gigawatts is enough power to run a small country. That's the scale this industry is now planning around, years in advance, before the chips even ship.

🚨📉 INFLATION JUST CAME IN COLD ACROSS THE BOARD

June CPI fell 0.4% on the month, a massive miss versus the -0.1% expected. Year over year it cooled to 3.5%, under the 3.8% forecast.

Core held flat and dropped to 2.6% annually, softer than expected too. Every single number came in below estimates. After weeks of everyone bracing for hot inflation, the print did the opposite.

Flip the whole script. Cool inflation reopens the door to rate cuts, and cuts are the fuel risk assets have been starving for. This is the kind of data that puts a bid back under $BTC.
