1. LP gains are partly calculated by elo diff. Master in chall lobby gets +27 -12, chall in master lobby gets +11 -28. 5000 lp gets +1 -300

@N0rthernSun @cicaloltwt There is merit to arguing either side I suppose, I can't imagine a world where vc will cause more toxicity rather than less. At least for a portion of toxic ppl hearing others voices etc. humanizes the experience

League Voice Chat pros & cons:

Pros:
-League is excruciatingly antisocial, this is the first step in yrs towards a different direction.
-Will undeniably be less toxic than text chat on average (mby after a large ban wave)
-Can function as practice for aspiring players, practicing comms is good.
-Good for content

Cons:
-Lol culture rn is in the gutter to the point that it might be unsaveable. Aka it may be "too late" for vc to be introduced.
-Ppl opting out of vc will sometimes be scapegoated
-Average lol knowledge feels "too low" for vc to be useful, so it might just be distracting across all elos.
-Junglers may suffer diabolical consequences

IMO this HAS to be introduced with a better ranked system that doesn't promote playing 20000 games a year.

Playing ranked will be much more fatiguing and could be higher quality if the stars align, but we need a system that rewards playing high quality games rather than mindlessly spamming 1000s of games.

People r absolutely vile on league and it's integrated in lol culture to be malicious&toxic on a whole other scale. but ye idk, vc sounds fun, mby it wont be.

@cicaloltwt The main shift iirc was when camps became clearable by all jg champs. (introduction of pet) For a long time Lee Sin, Elise etc. were heavily incentivized to clearing single target camps only because the aoe camps took too long, which promoted ganking/invading playstyles

@ExcaIiburrito Being an OTP in soloq is very clearly a significant advantage across many games and it always has been.

Of course you will face tough games, but there is a reason why majority of ppl share the opinion that being an otp is easier than playing multiple champs.
