কৃষ্ণনগরের ঐতিহ্যবাহী জগদ্ধাত্রী পুজোতে এ'বছর নবমীর সন্ধ্যা থেকেই বৃষ্টি উপেক্ষা করে বাঁধভাঙা জনতার ঢল কৃষ্ণনগরের বিভিন্ন মণ্ডপে জনপ্লাবনের পরিস্থিতি সৃষ্টি করে। কৃষ্ণনগরের উৎসবমুখর জনতার আবেগ দেখে পুলিশ প্রশাসনের বিসর্জনের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার প্রয়োজন ছিল।
শুক্রবার সকাল থেকেই কৃষ্ণনগরে শুরু হয় বিসর্জনের উন্মাদনা। সকালে ঘট বিসর্জনের পর সন্ধ্যা থেকে শুরু হয় প্রতিমা নিরঞ্জন। ঐতিহ্যশালী সাং প্রথা ও কাঁধে করে প্রতিমা নিরঞ্জন করা দেখতে হাই স্ট্রীট চত্বর থেকে রাজবাড়ী পর্যন্ত ব্যাপক ভিড় হয়। যথারীতি পুলিশের ব্যবস্থায় খামতি ছিল যার ফলে বিশৃঙ্খলা সৃষ্টি হয়।
যাই হোক, মানুষের আবেগ কে সম্মান জানিয়ে তা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা যেতো, কিন্তু মমতা পুলিশের প্রবণতা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে হিন্দুদের ওপর অবাঞ্ছিত, বিবেচনাহীন ও অতিরিক্ত বল প্রয়োগ করা, বিশেষ করে হিন্দুদের পুজো, ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান ও উৎসবের সময়।

কৃষ্ণনগর পুলিশ জেলার সুপার অমরনাথ কে. বিসর্জনের জন্যে অতিরিক্ত নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা ও নাগরিক সুরক্ষার আশ্বাস দিলেও পুলিশ ব্যর্থ। নিজেদের ব্যর্থতা ঢাকতে জনগণ কে লাঠি পেটা করেছে মমতা পুলিশ।
অমরনাথ কে. ও অমলেন্দু বিশ্বাস দুজনেরই অদক্ষতা প্রমাণিত ও এদের রেকর্ড হলো প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক তোলাবাজি। জনগণের স্বার্থের থেকে নিজ স্বার্থ এদের কাছে অনেক বেশি অগ্রাধিকার পায়।
এই ভাষায় মানুষ কে অপমান করার অধিকার এদের কে দিয়েছে?

Bangladesh Govt's highly intelligent officials gave two reasons:

- They said they want to balance trade with India and that's why they did not buy rice from India.

- And the money which went to UAE will come back to Bangladesh as lot of Bangladeshi people work in UAE. 😭
