A great record of a Robin ringed in Calais in France in mid Sept and found in West Cork two weeks later. This is the first record of a Robin moving between France and Ireland!

I have just arrived at @FundacionMigres in Tarifa, S Spain, for 6 weeks of @Vogelwarte_scie #insectmigration fieldwork as part of @Birgen_Haest's Move in Europe project!

We have radars to monitor insects (!!) each side of the Straits of Gibraltar (1 in Ceuta, 1 in Tarifa) as well as insect traps in Tarifa, Gibraltar, and Ceuta to find out the types of insects migrating.

Here is the radar in Ceuta looking towards one of the Pillars of Hercules, the Rock of Gibraltar.

I'll be sharing loads here of the adventures I'm having.
