HE HAS SEEN WAR. HE KNOWS THE TRUE VALUE OF FREEDOM. 🇮
As the Tricolour proudly flies across our homes under the @HarGharTirangaa campaign, one small house in Jangda village under Jang Sub-Division of Tawang district carries a story that touches the heart.
Tsering Sangey, a senior citizen nearing 90 years of age, proudly hoisted the National Flag at his humble home — not merely as part of a celebration, but as someone who has personally witnessed the painful days of the 1962 Indo-Sino War.
When the war broke out, Tsering Sangey and a few friends from his village were engaged in constructing a government accommodation in the area where the present-day Tourist Lodge at Tawang stands. As the situation worsened, they were compelled to leave their work and make their way back towards their village.
More than six decades have passed, but those memories remain.
Today, seeing the Tricolour fluttering peacefully above his little home in Jangda carries a meaning perhaps only his generation can fully understand. They witnessed uncertainty and conflict at our doorstep. They know the true value of freedom, peace and democracy.
Age, however, has hardly diminished his spirit. Even as he approaches 90, Shri Tsering Sangey remains active and continues to preserve traditional skills as an expert in wood turning and traditional cutlery making — carrying forward the knowledge and craftsmanship of generations.
His simple act of hoisting the Tiranga is a powerful lesson for all of us:
Freedom is precious.
Peace is precious.
And the Tiranga flying freely in our skies is precious.
This Har Ghar Tiranga, let us remember elders like Shri Tsering Sangey — living witnesses to history whose lives remind younger generations never to take our freedom for granted.
A salute to his spirit, his memories and his love for the nation.

Kindly look into this matter🙏 with the roads around new market already so congested, allowing heavy vehicles at this hour only makes the situation worse. Please take necessary actions
@NamgyalAngmo@diprotawang
Why is excavation work being allowed in the middle of the day in the market? If heavy vehicles are restricted during daytime, how is this permitted? Requesting the Deputy Commissioner kindly look into this matter and take appropriate action @NamgyalAngmo@diprotawang
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam once said, “The youth are the strength of India.” As an Indian, those words have always stayed with me. That’s why it hurts to see young voices being ignored. If the youth are truly the nation’s strength, then their voices should never be treated as a burden
Keyi Panyor has suffered one of the worst disasters in recent times, yet the Chief Minister is focused elsewhere. As a resident of Tawang, I believe that, at this moment, the people of Keyi Panyor need his presence far more than we do🙏

A special memory from the Torgya Festival. The sacred Palden Lhamo dance, dedicated to the protector deity of Tibet, is a powerful reminder of the faith and traditions that continue to inspire generations

The Silent Eco Warriors of Tawang
A group of dedicated women in Tawang continue to protect nature through action.
Early this morning, members of the Women’s Welfare Association, Tawang, were seen collecting garbage in and around the Drekhangteng area, carrying forward a mission they have faithfully undertaken for many years. Their work often goes unnoticed, yet its impact is visible in every cleaner street, every preserved landscape, and every message of responsibility they leave behind.
These remarkable women have been tirelessly collecting waste, segregating garbage, and ensuring that plastic waste is sent for recycling to Jhamtse Gatsal, Lungla. Their commitment is a powerful reminder that protecting the environment is not a one-day event but a continuous act of love and responsibility.
As we mark World Environment Day, let us pause to appreciate these silent eco warriors who lead by example. They do not seek recognition or applause; their reward is a cleaner, greener, and healthier Tawang for future generations.
Every piece of litter picked up is a step towards a better tomorrow. Every act of care for nature inspires another.Every citizen can make a difference.
Today, the Women’s Welfare Association of Tawang has a simple but powerful message for all of us: "The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth. Let us protect it together."
Salute to these inspiring women whose selfless service continues to make Tawang a cleaner and greener place.

Rode across the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu in Guwahati. It connects North Guwahati to the main city and cuts travel time down to just 10 minutes. What an engineering marvel! Hope the government and people of Arunachal learn a thing or two from this 🫡
I stand with Pema Khandu not because I’m from Tawang, but because of the blind hatred toward Monpa people and the hypocrisy surrounding Tawang’s development. Many criticize without understanding how governance and constituencies actually work
@PemaKhanduBJP
And there is no need to hate Tawang. Every place has problems, and no town is perfect. Criticizing issues is completely valid, but turning that into blind hatred helps nobody. The people of Tawang are not responsible for every political failure. Kadrinche la

Firstly, the roads he is talking about fall under NH 13, which comes under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. As for the remaining roads, they are maintained and managed by the BRO. Therefore, the state government has little to no direct control over them.
Lastly, you cannot entirely blame corruption if people themselves sell their votes during elections. Once leaders treat elections as investments, many will naturally try to recover what they spent after coming to power.
