You might have noticed that I never sign my drawings
It’s not because I don’t consider them my work. It’s because most of what I draw is fanart, and I’ve always had a personal rule about that
I don’t feel comfortable putting my signature on a character that doesn’t belong to me
For me, there’s a difference between being the artist who drew something and being the owner of what is being depicted
That’s why you’ll always find my fanart unsigned
The drawing is mine. The way I interpret the character, my composition, my rendering, my choices, my style, all of that comes from me.
But the character itself belongs to its original creator.
