#School dress by the #SHG Women:
In order to generate more livelihood opportunities to the Self Help Group women, the Government of West Bengal has come up with a noble idea of engaging the SHG women in making school uniforms for the school going kids, boys and girls.

*Making of School Uniforms by the SHG Women *.
There are around 175,000 school going children in Alipurduar district. All their uniforms will now be made by the SHG members of Anandadhara.
For making the programme successful the SHG members already purchased different machines

Making the 3.8 lakh school uniforms is not a small task. Hard & sincere training is very much essential to make this project successful. Accordingly SHG Women are being trained by skilled trainers under Utkarsha Bangla scheme.

Land right along with pucca house is a longstanding demand of the tea garden workers. The West Bengal Govt has launched " Chaa Sundari " scheme for providing free houses along with Land rights to tea workers.

"CHAA SUNDARI" housing scheme: Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched housing scheme for the tea garden workers in sick & closed gardens of North Bengal. This is such a unique initiative taken by any state government in entire country specifically for Tea Garden workers

In Chaa Sundari Scheme, Each dwelling unit has two rooms, one kitchen ,one toilet & Verandah. This is single storied units , each having covered area of 394 Sq. Feet & the unit cost is Rs. 5.43 lakhs. @thebetterindia @pooja_news @KamalikaSengupt @MoupiaNandy @joydeepthakur

Conditions of Tea Gardens & T workers of Bengal , are very pathetic ,they r getting only Rs.132.50/- per day after giving 8hrs of hard work.
