“Brethren, there is no basis for racial hatred among the priesthood of this Church. If any within the sound of my voice is inclined to indulge in this, then let him go before the Lord and ask for forgiveness and be no more involved in such.”
- Gordon B. Hinckley
“Under DEI regimes, what races do colleges and universities typically least prefer in their admissions processes?”
Feltscher-Stepman: “Whites and Asians primarily.”
Despair is the Left’s religion, and every cable-news studio is one of its cathedrals.
Every election is “the end of democracy.” Every thunderstorm is “the climate crisis.” Every disagreement is “violence.” Every Republican is Hitler, every budget cut is mass murder, and every progressive policy failure is proof that the policy was not progressive enough.
What a convenient faith.
No miracles are ever required. No results are ever measured. No prophet is ever held accountable. When the reform creates a disaster, the congregation simply demands a larger reform, a bigger bureaucracy, and another trillion dollars for the experts who caused the first disaster.
Then they light a candle, clutch their pearls, and announce that the universe may not survive the next Trump tweet.
Conservatives have no business joining this cult of theatrical misery.
Yes, the country has real problems. The institutions are rotten. The media is dishonest. The bureaucracy is arrogant. The culture is being vandalized by people who mistake destruction for compassion.
But realism is not despair.
Conservatives are supposed to understand that human beings are flawed, utopian schemes fail, and every government “solution” arrives dragging a parade of unintended consequences behind it. We can call the rot by its name without collapsing into a fetal position beneath the television.
Stand up. Laugh at the absurdity. Defend what remains. Yell “Stop” when history is marching toward a cliff.
The Left can keep worshiping panic.
We have a civilization to save.

@ClearlyReformed@RevKevDeYoung How depressing and pitiful. I am so grateful for the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You guys are missing out on so much.
Many Latter-day Saints need to change their understanding of what sealing in the temple means. Did you know that most Church members in the 19th century were sealed to Joseph Smith or other prominent Church leaders? Why?
The point was to seal people into the family of Adam.
Being sealed to your parents did not begin until 1894 when President Wilford Woodruff announced in the April 8 General Conference:
“When I went before the Lord to know who I should be adopted to … the Spirit of God said to me, ‘Have you not a father, who begot you?’ ‘Yes, I have.’ ‘Then why not honor him? Why not be adopted to him?’ ‘Yes,’ says I, ‘that is right.’ I was adopted to my father, and should have had my father sealed to his father, and so on back; and the duty that I want every man who presides over a temple to see performed from this day henceforth and forever … is, let every man be adopted to his father. … That is the will of God to this people.”
He continued:
“We want the Latter-day Saints from this time to trace their genealogies as far as they can, and to be sealed to their fathers and mothers. Have children sealed to their parents, and run this chain through as far as you can get it.”
The point of sealing is to seal all people into the family of Adam. If you can be sealed to Joseph Smith rather than your own family, this means that sealing is not a strict process that is set in stone once the sealing takes place. Sealing is not about separating people, it is about bringing people into the family of Adam, and relationships can still be worked out in the afterlife.
A full understanding of this doctrine can bring comfort to people who never have their children sealed to them while they are alive, or who suffer through divorce and worry about how sealings take place on Earth. If you keep your covenants, Heavenly Father will work it all out.
This also helps explain why Joseph Smith married so many women when he was alive but apparently did not have sexual relations with them. (There is no evidence of any other babies from Joseph Smith's many marriages). He was sealing himself to them so they could join the family of Adam.
Sealing is a gift from Heavenly Father and we should rejoice that we can do this on earthly temples. Don't worry about who is sealed to whom. It will all work out if you keep your covenants.
Do you realize how much the funding is abused? I wish there was a way to audit and better track the money that goes into these program. Simple example; I know so many people who were on WIC at BYU driving around in BMWs and getting so much milk and baby formula that they were giving it away. Many people don’t really need it but simply take advantage of it.
I cannot repeat this enough: our critics lose because they don’t read the literature.
Many studies report the LDS leading in mental health and happiness.
American citizenship belongs to the children of Americans. It does not belong to the children of foreigners.
I have introduced an amendment to end birthright citizenship for foreigners. Call your senator and tell them to support this amendment.

Excellent point. I also found it quite comforting to know that his life on earth ended across the street from a temple of God. His last breath taken surrounded by saints of God that know of the restoration and mission that he was on. The angles that were visiting the Utah valley temples were all in attendance as he passed to the other side. He could not have died in a more sacred place
