Not only did I stand and speak against this on the floor, but I allowed two groups to present on this early in the session in the committee I chair, Local Government. The legislation should have been sent to Local Government. It was not.
Unfortunately, when I had them present, I’m afraid I showed my hand as I ended up being the primary questioner of the presentation. I was not for this and they couldn’t answer my questions.
This is part of the Marxist agenda. I honestly thought we had the votes to kill this on the floor. But I believe I lost some of my colleagues because this had a positive rating.
Sad
I’m open to ideas on how to slow this down.
I’ve said this from the beginning. It’s actually part of what I predicted for California too. However, I actually think California will get their act together and reject all of this anti-American rhetoric, designed for the deconstruction of this nation.
Stay strong!
Mamdani played the democrats and republicans. All of the properties and real estate will be up for grabs by Muslim Lobbyists, Qatar and Muslims. It’s going to be cheap for them. He doesn’t want affordability. Mamdani wants you all to leave to reshape NY into the image of his people. That’s how they conquer from within. All you American politicians that support Mamdani and the red and green alliance be prepared to lose your seats. Idiots!
@shutupmxia@TONYxTWO Have you been arrested yet? You know, for disagreeing with a dictator and posting about it.
Hmmmm
He’s not a very good dictator, is he.
Exactly!
This is BAD NEWS. None of this is good. This will be used against conservatives moving forward. More will be thrown in jail for posting. This is ALL about controlling free speech. Also, parents can be held accountable if their kids end up on forbidden sites.
Terrible.
It’s time to stop treating "vocational" education like a consolation prize and start treating it like the foundational necessity it is.
We are failing an entire generation by funneling every single student toward a one-size-fits-all, desk-bound academic path, while simultaneously watching a massive skills gap widen in our workforce. We have teenagers graduating who can analyze complex literature but don't know how to change a tire, balance a checkbook, or safely wire a light fixture.
Independence is not found in a textbook; it is found in the ability to fix, build, and maintain the world around you.
When we removed shop classes, home economics, and trade-based electives from our public schools, we didn’t just lose "classes"—we lost a vital bridge to self-sufficiency. We stopped teaching kids that they have the power to solve physical problems with their own two hands.
It is time to bring these back into the core curriculum:
Woodshop & Metalwork: Nothing teaches spatial reasoning, precision, and the value of a hard day's work like building something from raw materials.
Auto Mechanics: Understanding how your primary mode of transportation functions isn't just a "trade"—it’s essential literacy for modern adult life.
Life Skills / Home Economics (The Real Version): We need to bring back budgeting, tax basics, nutrition, basic home repair, and sewing. If a student can’t manage a household budget or cook a nutritious meal, are we really "preparing them for the real world"?
Intro to Trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical): Providing exposure to these paths early on introduces students to high-paying, recession-proof careers that don't necessarily require six figures in student loan debt.
The goal isn't to discourage college; it’s to provide dignity for all paths. It’s about creating capable, confident, and independent young adults who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty or tackle a challenge that doesn't have an answer key in the back of a book.
Let’s stop outsourcing our competence. Let’s get back to basics. Let’s bring back shop class.
Thank you Congressman @CongMikeSimpson for your kind words and support. This legislation started a tsunami that has turned the tide and once again ensures that girls & women have the same opportunities to compete FAIRLY that boys & men do.
Thank you for speaking at the SCOTUS RALLY Jan 13, 2026 when the Supreme Court heard this legislation. I was inside with @SenatorRisch listening to oral arguments. It was great to have a Congressional delegation member from Idaho speak.
Everyone LOVED you.
Let’s do this!
Forward with Faith!
Idaho led the charge as the first state to protect fairness in women's sports in response to the Biden administration’s radical rewrite of Title IX.
None of this would have been possible without Idaho State Representative @Barbara_Ehardt's courageous leadership.
To combat the Left's delusions and prevent future misinterpretations, Congress must clarify and restore Title IX's original meaning. Proud to cosponsor!
Thank you PFLN. I’m proud of this legislation. It’s what our kids need to really learn about our founding and what it means and why we should be supportive of legislation like this.
Thank you, Rep. @Barbara_Ehardt, for your leadership in advancing strong civics ed, equipping the next generation with a clear understanding of our nation’s values & freedoms. SB 1336 ensures students learn how totalitarian ideologies contrast with America’s founding principles.
It’s not their responsibility to worry about how the legislature should figure out how to uphold laws. They just know that they need to be upheld because their competition is NOT playing by the same rules and it is not just hurting their business but they are losing their employees because they can no longer afford to pay good wages because the illegals are undercutting them both on bids and on dollar per hour salary.
Standing up for Idahoans & Americans.
This is the exact point that my contractors here in Southeastern Idaho are asking me to help with! They are loosing their businesses to illegals who are setting up businesses and then way underbidding jobs that come up. These jobs used to be phenomenal paying jobs. These were great jobs for men. Now, long time businesses can’t pay their employees a decent wage. This needs to stop!
@listen2tish You go girl! We win if we go back to traditional family values & principles that ultimately benefit all people and all races. Then stay Constitutional grounded and all can rise and all can win!!!
Forward with Faith!
