At #MadeOnYouTube, we shared that on average, over 30% of daily logged-in viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. That’s why we're making our biggest live streaming upgrade yet. Here’s what’s coming soon to live:

Practice before going live: Rehearse content and test your setup without a live audience. When you're ready, switch to a public live stream directly from the practice session.

Playables on Live: Play from a library of 75+ games while interacting through chat, and monetize the stream like any other broadcast.

New ways to get discovered: Stream in both horizontal and vertical formats simultaneously with a single chat, react live to other streams on mobile, and use new AI-powered highlights that automatically create Shorts from livestreams.

More ways to monetize: Side-by-side ads will offer a less intrusive way to earn revenue without interrupting a stream and channel membership creators will be able to easily transition from public to members-only livestreams.
