That’s ultimately how I read DanRim: not as a writer obsessed with shocking us by destroying what we thought was real, but as one who lets us see something real without giving us the whole truth.
The twist usually isn’t that we saw nothing.
It’s that we weren’t seeing enough.

A thread on @DanRim_ writing style and why I think understanding HOW she writes is more useful than trying to predict WHAT happens next in #Borderline . Her storytelling has #patterns , and once you notice them, some theories become much more or less likely. 🧵

So when I judge Borderline theories, my first question isn’t “Could this happen?” Almost anything COULD happen
I ask: Would DanRim tell the story this way?
Does it preserve psychological continuity? Does it deepen previous scenes? Does it make earlier details MORE meaningful?
Okay, I’m writing ONE last thread because the hallucination theory is making me lose my mind. Then I’m deleting this app for the next 10 days because apparently if it’s on my phone, I WILL fixate on Borderline instead of studying.
Writing this fully aware that absolutely no one asked or cares lmao, but I have medical exams so I’m disappearing for 10 days. I have approximately 1,000 theories about what happened and whose POV we’re getting, but I WILL be silent. If you see me liking or reposting, kill me. 🙄
