I’ve watched Dundee United live multiple times throughout the season.

At the start of the season I was quite optimistic of not just their performances, but also the signings that they made.

Goodwin was getting the best out of players like Sapsford, who was allowed freedom to roam and either drop into the 10 to be that link to get into the final third or drift wider to run onto a through ball.

However, teams figured out Goodwin’s style after a couple of months and he now plays this easily readable, passive-direct style of play.

Absolutely no threatening creativity or energy anymore, in a side that had so much at the start of the year in my opinion.
