1979年にリリースのある意味ポストパンク史上最も衝撃的なシングル。

そのポストパンクの代表作が、パンクの王者セックス・ピストルズのジョンライドンが結成したPiLがリリースしたのだから��がいかに当時の音楽シーンの中心にいたかわかる。

ジョン・ライドンが癌で亡くなった母・ノーラへの追悼として書いた極めて個人的な楽曲。

母の好きだったチャイコフスキーの「白鳥の湖」を引用して、母への追悼でDEATH DISCO(死の踊り)として、ダブ、ノイズ、アヴァンギャルド、パンクが渾然一体となったサウンドを奏でるジョンライドン。

愛とパンク魂が一体となった名曲。

Sid Vicious recorded "My Way" in 1978 for The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, the film closely associated with Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren. Rather than imitating Frank Sinatra's elegant interpretation, Vicious transformed the classic into a deliberately chaotic and confrontational performance. His sarcastic delivery and the song's explosive finale perfectly embodied the rebellious and self-destructive image that made him one of punk's most notorious figures.

Released in 1978 as part of The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle soundtrack, "My Way" was originally adapted into English by Paul Anka from the 1967 French song Comme d'habitude and was famously recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1969. Although Sid Vicious's version was never a major chart hit, it became one of the most iconic reinterpretations in punk history, thanks to its provocative music video and its enduring status as a symbol of the punk movement's irreverent spirit.
