I don’t read too many comments - but this one on “Your America” broke my heart 💔

I moved to this country almost 10 years ago to chase a dream - an opportunity that wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for veterans like the man who left this comment.

No one should feel alone or hated in this world…MOST OF ALL…the men and women who have fought to protect it.

So, when folks ask me WHY I make the music that I do - this is why. My career wouldn’t even exist without the people who have died for this country…and in turn, died for a place that I can call home and make music for all of you.

We’ve donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to veterans over the past couple years…but it’s never going to be enough. We need to reach out and touch these people and let them know we love and appreciate them.

If our song “Your America” upsets you - good. It should. You took the ball and you ran it into the ground…while making the people who died for YOUR right to run it into the ground feel discarded and lesser than.

I hope every veteran out there knows…we love you…we appreciate you…and we certainly won’t stop trying to find the America you sacrificed everything for. AND…no matter what people say, no matter how hard they hate…I’ll always do my best to represent you well in my music.
